I spent the first act of my career behind the camera — as a documentary filmmaker and reality TV producer, telling other people's stories for a living. Now I'm writing the second act myself, on foot and by bike, traveling slowly through the world to actually live the kind of stories I used to just film.

Wherever I land, I shoot photos and video and pair them with a short poem or essay written from whatever I felt in that place — less a travel vlog, more a visual diary with a pulse. Along the way, I love spending time with local kids and young people, showing them that they don't have to just scroll and watch — they can pick up a phone and become the ones telling the story. I'd love to keep sharing that spark wherever I travel.

I bring a practical set of hands to go with the camera: I've worked kitchens in both Italian and Japanese restaurants, I'm comfortable with most hand tools and can fix furniture and gear myself, and years of producing have made me a natural communicator who works well across cultures. I'm laid-back, easygoing, and always up for genuine cultural exchange. I light up around locals — especially students and kids — and I'm happiest in situations where showing up for real work with real people is the whole point.

Visual storytelling — strong audiovisual instincts, from shooting to editing to pacing a story
AI-fluent — comfortable using AI tools to write, edit, and produce faster and better
Kitchen experience — a year working as kitchen support in an Italian restaurant and a year in a Japanese restaurant, plus years of home cooking
Handy — no formal training, but I can run most hand tools and fix most furniture, gear, and small equipment myself
