Description

Hello! I’m Milou, a 31-year-old living in a village just north of Utrecht, the Netherlands. I share my home with my partner and our three runnerducks. Since June 2023, we’ve embarked on the journey of building our own house, where we prioritize using second-hand materials and natural resources like clay plaster and tadelakt. After a year of this project (which still isn’t finished yet), I’m now also back to work as an interior and decor builder.

I’m an empathetic and adventurous person who loves to explore nature, new ideas and cultures. I’m eager to spend a few weeks or months in Portugal, where I hope to learn more about ecological building practices and/or permaculture. But im especially looking forward to meeting new people, sharing experiences, and contributing to projects that align with my values.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have one year of experience in the construction of our home, including installing underfloor heating, drainage systems, clay and lime plaster, roof tiles, and much more. I love doing 3D design with SketchUp for project planning.

From a background in graphic design I shifted to hands-on work, including six months as a (beginner) interior and decor maker.
