We’re Michaëlla (27yo) and Leny (31yo), a French couple thrilled to embark on a new adventure through Workaway! With hearts full of curiosity and a deep love for meeting people, we’re eager to connect with Australians and dive into your culture.
We’re no strangers to hard work, especially outdoors! As passionate organic market gardeners, we thrive in the fresh air and love getting our hands dirty.
We’re social butterflies who adore meeting new faces, chatting with kids, and bonding over shared meals. Cooking and baking are two of our favorites ways to connect… we love learning about local ingredients, whipping up delicious dishes, and sharing stories around the table.
Adventure, learning, and laughter are our fuel. We can’t wait to contribute to your community, soak up your way of life, and create meaningful connections along the way. ✨


I’m Michaëlla, passionate by nature and animals with an obsession for mountain and forest, between poems and drawings, a vegetarian who never say no to good food. 🥴 From horse rider to organic market gardener, travel has been a constant in my life, I’m always chasing the next adventure. 😉 Always ready to try new activities, whether it’s fixing something, building, or experimenting with a creative project, I love diving in. I adore children, their curiosity, their energy, and the way they see the world with wonder. Above all, I’m passionate about connecting with people. I did a few workaways during my first year in New Zealand, its my favorite way to travel and to learn about a new lifestyle and country, I have only good memories and I made friendships for life 🧡

Hello, I’m Leny, my latest dream? Discovering Australia, its stunning landscapes, and, of course, seeing kangaroos in the wild for the first time! Building, gardening, carpentry, I love creating something meaningful. I’ve also spent years in retail management, where I honed my skills in customer service, team leadership, and problem-solving, always with a smile 😊 When I’m not working, you’ll find me skiing, hiking or simply enjoying time with my friends or my sweet family which is the world to me 🌞
I’m on a mission to improve my English, its very rusty right now but I’m always up for the challenge and this journey to Australia is all about pushing boundaries, learning from new environments, and embracing the unknown 🕺 Let’s make something amazing together!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Michaëlla : I’m confortable around animals, I enjoy gardening, I don’t mind cleaning, I love playing with kids, I like any kind of art project, I’m a hard worker not afraid of physical task! I know how to handle a weed eater, drill, chainsaw, hacksaw… I like to try new things and I am operational to add new skills to my list!
What I did those last few years : I worked in a professional horse dressage yard during a year in England, (mucking out, grooming, hacking, lunging, feed and training horses, maintenance of the yard.) Then I worked during one year and a half in a small riding school in Switzerland, (training horses, feeding, hacking, giving lessons to the kids, maintenance of the yard, taking care of others animals (pigs, chicken, cats). I wanted to try something new so I did two years in an organic vegatable farm in switzerland (planting, harvesting, maintenance, weeding…)
