Hi!
My name is Michi (Michaela) from Germany and I love nature, bonfires, hiking and creative activities. I just finished my studies as an English translator, but I also hope to add Japanese someday in the future.
Right now I am working as a digital normad for my part-time job in Germany, but my goal is to become a full-time freelance translator.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
- translating English-German (working on Japanese)
- certified first-aid instructor (in Germany)
- I have a German driving licence for cars and trailers (and even buses, but I don't expect anyone to need that one)
- I am pretty fast at thinking up games for children. I volunteer at a scout group once a month. I also worked at an after-school in Japan for 2 months.
- I am capable of painting a fence. Twice a year I manage to find some time to paint a picture on canvas. Love acrylics.
- generally inexperienced in handywork more complicated than assembling a shelf and refilling coolant
- I am used to animals.
- I am fine with gardening and have some experience with no-dig beds. Can't do it for 5 hours straight without a break, though.
- My cooking skills are basic.

Thank you very much for supporting our school. She is always supportive, and we are very happy that she is now having her second Workaway stay with us. She has strong communication and teaching skills, and we really enjoy having her with us.

I would definitely recommend Heidi for other Workaways.

Thank you so much for hosting me, these 4 months were amazing! I didn't stay at the main location in Gotemba but in Hara/Numazu, a peaceful and beautiful place between the coast and the mountains. This was my very first workaway and after these 6 weeks I feel like I am leaving home for a second time.
Thanks to Trish and all the lovely volunteers in the Community Garden I learned lots about organic gardening.
