Hello, our names are Michelle & Tobias, we are 24 years old and we come from Germany. We know each other for more than 10 years and we are a couple since 2020.

We decided to travel around the world and first, we want to start discovering Canada. We stay for one year and we are looking forward to get to know the beautiful country and to meet new people. Our plan is to start in the area of Quebec. We both have the work permission and we would like to gain a lot of experience by doing different tasks. We complement each other very well. We love spending time with family & friends and doing outdoor activities.

MICHELLE:
I have finished my studies to become a teacher for French and Geography and as traveling is one of my passion I have made the decision to discover other countries before working in schools. At the age of 17 I already spent one school year in France. One reason that we chose now Quebec is the language. I would like to improve my French (en espérant que je comprends l’accent québécois), so I would be happy to have some possibilities to use it. Nevertheless, I’m fine if we live in an englisch speaking family too.

I am used to spend a lot of time with family so if you need some help with the kids, I would be happy to look after and play with them. Besides, I am able to do tasks in the household and in the garden. I don’t have a lot of experience with animals, I was just riding for 7 years in my childhood.

In my free time I like to practice outdoor-activities like hiking, climbing or skiing. Yoga, jogging or some workouts are part of my weekly routine too. Reading, photographing, cooking, listening to music are some of my other hobbies. And I really often meet my friends and enjoy the time together.

TOBIAS:
Since 2019 I work in a car repair shop of VW as a car mechanic. I also repair the cars of my family. I am very happy to have the possibility to discover Canada now. I’m looking forward to learn a lot about the country and the culture. This year, I started learning French and I hope to have some possibilities to use it. But in everyday life I prefer speaking English.

In my free time I like cooking, doing sport, watching videos or documentations and listening to music. Besides, I like to go hiking, climbing and being in the nature. One of my other hobbies is taking photos. I am an ambitious, helpful, patient and calm person.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Generally, we both are open-minded and adapt easily to new tasks.

MICHELLE:
I have many experience with children (at school, during private lessons and in the family) - so babysitting, childcare and teaching languages is something I am used to.
Because of the studies I am used to work a lot on the computer and I like organizing.
I am able to help in the household.
It would be very nice to learn something about farming or gardening even if I have not many experiences in it.

TOBIAS:
I’m talented in craftsmanship, so if you have something to repair I can take care of it.
I also like working in the garden.
It would be very nice to learn something about forestry or agriculture. For example, I would love to drive a tractor or something similar.
I am able to help in the household and I enjoy playing with children too.
