Les activités qui nous intéressent :

At the moment, Nor works in a famous danish amusement park, and Mia took an education as a firefighter.

We are both working on separate film-projekts, but planning on doing a film together.

Description

We met each other through an NGO in Denmark (Operation Dagsværk) where we volunteered almost full-time last year. Here, we found out that we share a lot of passions and ideologies (such as solidarity between borders and expression through art and activism) and are now looking for a long-term project to do together. We plan on travelling through workaway for at least 6 months. The duration of our stay with you would depend on the chemistry, economics and ofc your needs and wishes.
Our work in the NGO consisted of creating educational material for a campaign targeting the Danish youth. The project supported young EMT’s (emergency medical technicians) who worked voluntarily in the Lebanese Red Cross. As you can maybe tell from our history, we both get motivated by solidarity, activism, dedication and... actually let's be specific with a recent example:
So recently, we were motivated by a professor called Brene Bown who studies courage, vulnerability, shame, and empathy. She describes how the lack of vulnerability in our society is causing a lot of problems for people, and speaks a lot about how to start practising vulnerability.

Otherwise than that, we are both very passionate about art and expression through art.
We especially like amatuer art and street art, we have made som grafitti projects together.

Mia is very good at drawing and panting, and Nor likes to gather scraps from around the city and try to use them in making sculptures and other installations. Nor also enjoys photography and digital art and we both share a big interest in film. We both have our own film projects going on but also plan to make a movie together.
We also find joy in trivial things such as a good cup of coffee (mostly Mia actually), good food (mostly Nor actually) and we both like watching long youtube-videos and documentaries.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

We can cook, we can clean, we can paint a room, we can paint your furniture, mow your lawn, pet your pet, keep you company, make coffee, save you from drowning, set your watch, and most importantly teach you how to say "wow you are so talented and have a lot of skills" in danish.

-No but actually; we have some different experience from the jobs that we've worked and just from the life that we've lived, and we catch on pretty quickly when learning new skills, try us!

Autres infos...

Growing up in Denmark and then visiting Lebanon left us with a feeling that there is so much about the world that we would never learn from just studying it. It was such an amazing experience meeting people with such different cultures and views of the world and yet still always finding common ground with them. This has made us eager to do more cultural exchange so that we can learn about the world in an authentic, personal and compassionate way. We are very passionate about this, and we hope to meet some people who are willing to help us expand our knowledge on and understanding of the world.
