Description

I'm Malcolm, I'm 23 and I grew up in the UK and studied economics, which led me into a career in finance—but over time, I realised my heart was pulling me in a different direction. Now, I'm travelling through South America and I want to learn how to live more simply, more sustainably, and more with nature. I’ve always loved being outdoors and working with my hands; helping with animals, learning new agricultural techniques, or trying my hand at carpentry. I’m especially curious about how people live off the land and create self-sufficient lifestyles. One day, I hope to have a small farm or homestead of my own!!

I especially want to participate in organic farming in South America because of its incredible biodiversity and rich farming traditions. I’d love to understand how methods are adapted to the local climates and environments, and to gain practical experience that I can one day apply to my own dream of running a small, self-sufficient farm.

I would love to contribute with a combination of practical skills and a positive, adaptable attitude. I have experience with gardening, basic planting and harvesting, and I enjoy working outdoors and caring for plants and animals. I’m comfortable with physical tasks, from lifting and moving materials to general maintenance, and I’m always willing to learn new skills as needed. I’m excited by the opportunity to contribute meaningfully while learning from you!
