Hi everyone ! We are both 24 year old women, born in France. Friends since highschool, we are making big changes in our lives and felt like trying new ways of lives : what better way to learn and share than Workaway ? We both have decided to make a break in our studies, to travel and learn alternatives ways of living.
Our big project is to learn to live in coherence with nature and be more self-sufficient. As young human beings what we need right now is to create a better environnement and would love to learn from people who have made this achivement. The idea of experiencing others cultures also appeals to us. We are communicative and sporty people who are not afraid to work hard. Eager to learn we are always on the search of understanding and adapting to a new environment.

Mélisa: I could teach you French or English. I have teached highschool pupils German. I am currently learning the basic of korean but could not teach it yet. Pauline: As I know culture can be handed over through languages I would love to learn thanks to you with your first mother tongue and I can do the same :) I know about English and French.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Mélisa : I was raised in Corbières, South of France. Growing up in a patch-work family (german - french) I feel drawn to culture differences (and their challenges)
I am a student in Art History (specialised in religious roman archiecture from the early XI-XIII). I am quite sporty: always on my bike, I practice weight lifting and hike a lot.
I also learned a lot from my 10 months Au Pair experience in Berlin a couple of years ago. Being a very responsible person, I care very much to follow instructions while learning to be independent.


Pauline: I am very attracted by arts and its various form. Before going into the workaway experience, I used to mainly do home activities such as drawing, writing, video games, home chores and indoor sport/exercise. I wanted to go out of my comfort zone to learn more through hand work such as building, handicrafts, etc. I also love spending time outside with some friends and going for long walks and hiking with my family. I’ve always been close to different animals throughout my childhood (dogs, cats, bunnies, a guinea pig and fishes). My mom owned her little kitchen garden and taught me about gardening and handled a bit of DIY crafts while renovating some of our houses. I can work for several hours in one go.

As we have known each other since highschool and have come to travel together, we are quite effective and our organization always matches. We are said to work really well together. We value communication and would be so grateful if you’d welcomed us in our journey!
