Hey guys,

I´m Melina, 22 years old and live in the beautiful City Frankfurt am Main (Germany) together with a good friend. Since 2022 i study medicine at the "Johann Wolfgang von Goethe University". I finished my first medical state exam (called "Physikum" in Germany) in september 2024 and am now ready to open my heart to the world again. I´ll take a break from university, to discover new corners in this world and to get to know new people outside of my bubble.

About myself:
i grew up in a town one hour outside of frankfurt with two little sisters (they are 19 now) and an older stepbrother. i am a open minded, self motivated and creative person and i love to share all the creativity i have ( i draw, paint and write myself). Communication and respect is very important to me and something that for me is part of living together.
In my spare time i go to the gym and i hang out with my friends. Nature and fresh air is something i miss in my city, which is why I like to stay away from the city for a longer period of time. i like to go hiking in the mountains and have lost my heart to winter sports - but i also want to try watersports :)
It brings me joy to meet new poeple, to get to know new cultures, different ways of life and to have good latenight talks. I also appreciate the silence, the pure nature around me and the little things like a good cup of tea and a book.
I am always willing to learn new skills and i want to improve the skills that i already have. In generell i do the things that i do always with a smile on my lips so that there is always a good mood around :) If you are interested in learning german or to cook and bake traditional german and austrian dishes i am happy to help and show you!


About my travel and workaway experiences:
After school I already travelled for a year and went to Italy (2021) and Norway (2022). In Italy I worked 3 months as a fitness and children's animator on a campsite. I gave fitness and yoga classes and played, painted and danced with the children. I also organised small events. In the evenings there were always some musicals where I danced too. I look back very much on those days because I made many new lovley friends with whom I lived under the same roof (We were a team of 20 people) and with whom i am still in contact .
In Winter 2022 i did my first workaway experience in Norway (unfortunately I deleted my account because it was a couple account with a friend, so here is the new one). I spent 6 weeks dog-sitting in the beautiful cold mountains with a friend and worked another 8 weeks on a potato farm with other workawayers in Mo i Rana. There we also helped to build a new house for other workawyers to stay. This was truly an adventurous experience and i would always do it again.

i am ready for new people, new advetures and new stories to tell. I can´t wait to meet you all -whoever it might be!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

- I like to organize and i can develop good strucutres for working effectively

- I paint with acrylics and watercolor ( mainly landscapes). the last two years i helped my stepfather to renovate the house where my family lives in, which is why i have some knowledge in these things.

- I like to cook dishes from different countries and to bake cakes or cookies on a cold winter day. I would be glad to share some recipes with you and maybe to return to germany with a new recipe from your kitchen.

- I can get along well with all kinds of people, i am empathetic and always up for a joke. I try to always make the best out of any situation!

- I work besides University as a waitress and bartender at big events like weddings. I am good in dealing with the hustle and bustle around me because i like the atmosphere

- Because of my time in Italy i would say i can deal with a large group of Kids from different nationalities and languages. So if you are planning a childrens birthday party - i am your woman ;-)
