Hello futur hôte canadien !
Nous sommes Mélissa et Pierre, un couple breton de 28 ans prêt à traverser l’Atlantique pour une aventure canadienne. On arrive mi-avril et on cherche une expérience Workaway qui mêle partage, découvertes et un peu d’huile de coude (on est prêts à bosser dur… mais toujours avec le sourire !).
Nous souhaitons débuter notre aventure canadienne par du volontariat, une belle façon de nous immerger dans la culture locale avant de nous installer et de travailler dans le cadre d’un PVT.
Qui sommes-nous ?
Mélissa, c’est la créative et organisée du duo. Elle adore les enfants, les animaux, et ne dit jamais non à une balade en pleine nature ou à une séance de fitness. Avec ses expériences en babysitting, petsitting et cours particuliers, elle aime prendre soin des autres.
Pierre, lui, c’est la bonne humeur incarnée : bon public, débrouillard et toujours partant pour apprendre. Il a déjà fait pas mal de volontariat (peinture, petites rénovations, jardinage, ménage…) en Nouvelle-Zélande, à Malte et en Grèce. Et en plus, il cuisine plutôt bien (c’est ce qu’il dit, et Mélissa confirme 😉).
On adore voyager – on a déjà visité une dizaine de pays ensemble et plus d’une vingtaine en tout – et on est curieux de tout. Découvrir de nouvelles cultures, échanger avec les habitants et vivre des expériences uniques, c’est ce qui nous motive. Avec nos études et expériences professionnelles en communication, marketing et événementiel, on sait s’adapter, travailler en équipe et faire les choses avec sérieux (tout en s’amusant, bien sûr).
Alors si tu cherches des volontaires enthousiastes, bons vivants et toujours partants pour filer un coup de main… on est là !

Hello, future Canadian host!
We’re Mélissa and Pierre, a 28-year-old couple from Brittany, France, ready to cross the Atlantic for an unforgettable Canadian adventure. We’ll be arriving in mid-April, looking for a Workaway experience that combines sharing, discovery, and a bit of hard work (we’re ready to roll up our sleeves… always with a smile!).
We’ve decided to kick off our Canadian journey with a Workaway experience—it’s the perfect way to immerse ourselves in the local culture before settling down and working as part of our Working Holiday Visa adventure.
Who are we?
Mélissa is the creative and organized half of the duo. She loves kids, animals, and never says no to a walk in nature or a good fitness session. With her background in babysitting, petsitting, and tutoring, she’s great at taking care of others.
Pierre is the cheerful, hands-on one: outgoing, resourceful, and always eager to learn something new. He has plenty of volunteering experience, including painting, small renovations, and cleaning, from New Zealand to Malta and Greece. Oh, and he’s a pretty good cook (according to Mélissa, anyway 😉).
We’re passionate about travel—together, we’ve explored over 10 countries and more than 20 individually—and we’re endlessly curious. Meeting new people, discovering different cultures, and embracing unique experiences is what drives us. With professional backgrounds in communication, marketing, and event management, we’re adaptable, team-oriented, and serious when it comes to getting the job done (but we always make sure to have fun along the way).
If you’re looking for enthusiastic, easygoing volunteers who are always happy to lend a hand, you’ve found the right pair!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

On a dans nos bagages une belle palette de compétences qui pourraient bien te plaire ! Côté communication, on touche à tout : design graphique, création de sites internet, gestion des réseaux sociaux, montage vidéo… Bref, on aime les projets créatifs, et on sait comment leur donner vie. Mais ce n’est pas tout : on adore bosser avec les autres, on s’adapte facilement, et on a un bon feeling avec les gens.
En plus, on est du genre soigneux et organisés, toujours prêts à faire les choses bien. Et pour couronner le tout, on a passé beaucoup de temps avec notre neveu de 18 mois depuis sa naissance. Résultat ? On est hyper à l’aise avec les enfants, qu’il s’agisse de jouer avec eux, de les occuper ou simplement de s’assurer qu’ils sont bien entourés. On est aussi curieux et toujours partants pour apprendre des trucs nouveaux, même dans des domaines qu’on ne connaît pas encore.
On n’a pas peur de nous retrousser les manches ! Pour les travaux extérieurs, comme le jardinage, l’entretien des espaces verts ou l’aménagement d’un coin extérieur, on est partants. Que ce soit pour désherber, planter des fleurs, tailler des haies ou donner un coup de neuf à un potager, on est motivés et prêts à apprendre si nécessaire.
Côté bricolage, les petits travaux de rénovation, comme le montage de meubles, la peinture ou quelques réparations, ne nous font pas peur non plus. Pierre a déjà une bonne expérience dans ces domaines grâce à ses précédents volontariats, et Mélissa est toujours partante pour s’investir et apprendre sur le terrain.

We’re bringing lots of useful skills that we think you’ll find helpful! In communication, we’ve done a bit of everything: graphic design, creating websites, managing social media, and editing videos. We enjoy creative projects and know how to make them happen. But that’s not all—we’re great at working with others, we adapt quickly, and we get along well with people.
We’re also very organized and like to pay attention to details, always making sure things are done properly. On top of that, we’ve spent a lot of time with our 18-month-old nephew since he was born. This has made us very comfortable with children—whether it’s playing with them, keeping them busy, or taking care of them. We’re curious and always ready to learn new things, even if it’s something we haven’t tried before.
We’re happy to get our hands dirty! For outdoor work, like gardening, yard maintenance, or setting up outdoor spaces, we’re excited to help. Whether it’s pulling weeds, planting flowers, trimming hedges, or working on a vegetable garden, we’re motivated and willing to learn.
We also enjoy small renovation projects, like building furniture, painting, or doing minor repairs. Pierre has some experience with this from past volunteer projects, and Mélissa is always ready to help and learn something new.
We’re excited to use our skills and energy to make this experience with you special!
