Description

My name is Mariona, I’m 25 years old and I’m from Barcelona. I’ve studied cinema and I have a mention in direction of documentaries. I finished my university degree 2 years ago and during my last year of school I shot my own short movie as part of my studies.

During the past two years I’ve been working in the cinema industry: editing documentary movies, and working on scenography and in the art department in fiction films.

Now I am very interested on creative construction, wood scenography, hand crafted structures and installations, and that’s why I’d really love to be able to travel around again to foster my creativity in those areas.

As part of my description I think it is important to mention that when I was 18 years old I travelled in Europe by myself as a workawayer, and that was one of the best years in my life. During that time, I learned to be alone and get to know and manage myself, also I had the chance to meet a lot of amazing people, who I still have in my life today.

As a workawayer I worked in different projects and countries:

- Scotland: renovation of an ecological house as well as a Spanish teacher to the girl of
the family.

- Germany: renovation of an old building near Berlin, where a lot of different artistic
disciplines were met.

- Austria: working with Max, a painter and artist who lives in the middle of the woods,
together we built a vegetable garden with wood and we created a movie together.

- Portugal, Algarve: in a little house with a big garden, we built a shelter for the sheep, we
took care of the garden and we worked on construction.

It was amazing to see myself doing all this work, and learned so many different things that I could have never imagine I would be able to do before the trip.

As part of my skills, I’m very motivated to learn new things and very curios so I research a lot about things I find interesting, I’m creative and hard worker, interested on any kind of artistic expression (circus, dancing, theater, cinema, painting…) I love nature and calm, but also people and events. I like a lot to talk and connect with people, and I’m easygoing and sociability. I really enjoy to try new things, and food and cooking are very important for me.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am a filmmaker so I manage with the camera and with the editing.
Also, I love drawing and painting and all the things related to fine arts. I like also to take photos, and experiment with the analogic. I love to learn by doing in general.

I like mostly underground art so I like to experiment a lot with the cameras, the aberrations with light and my intention always is to transmit emotions, not to tell a story clearly or in a conventional way, just through images that people can feel and live as experiences to be close to the story I want to share.

I’m also interested on construction even I don’t have technical knowledge. I’m very interested to learn more about wood and clay, and how to make constructions with them.

I am an outgoing person, willing to share my culture to the world. I would also like to learn about other people cultures and practice my english. I am very interested in feminism and LGTBIQ+ issues. I like to incorporate these issues into my art or form of expression because I think it is important to ask myself questions about this topic.
