Hello! My name is Mateusz Tischner and I'm from Kraków, Poland. I'm currently studying Design at university, and creativity is at the center of everything I do. I'm deeply passionate about art, design, and music – especially electronic and hip-hop. I collect vinyl records and love playing them on my turntables, always searching for new sounds and inspirations.

I'm an active, energetic person who enjoys sports and physical activities of all kinds. I love being outdoors, especially in or around water – swimming, diving, and sailing are some of my greatest passions. Water is definitely my favorite element; it helps me feel calm, focused, and connected to nature.

Traveling for me is much more than just seeing new places – it's about learning, growing, and meeting people from different backgrounds. I love discovering new cultures, sharing stories, and gaining new perspectives. In every trip I take, I look for inspiration, knowledge, and connection.

Although I’ve never participated in a Workaway project before, I’m very excited to finally start. I’m eager to contribute, learn new skills, and help out however I can. I’m open-minded, curious, and always ready to take on new challenges. I don’t like to sit still – I’m constantly learning something new or finding creative ways to stay engaged.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Creative and technically skilled, I bring a wide set of abilities that combine hands-on craftsmanship with digital knowledge. I'm comfortable working both independently and collaboratively, always eager to learn something new and contribute meaningfully.

With a background in the arts and design, I have strong manual and artistic abilities, including painting, drawing, sewing, and crafting. Experience with CNC machinery—such as 3D printers, laser cutters, and milling machines—has allowed me to take part in various design and fabrication projects. I’m also familiar with screen printing techniques and know my way around a sewing machine.

Proficiency in CAD software supports my technical design work, while my graphic design skills extend across Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Whether it's logo design, album covers, posters, or illustrations, I enjoy bringing visual ideas to life. I also handle product photography from shooting with a DSLR camera to post-production editing and retouching.

Outside of the studio, I enjoy more physical and practical work. Helping with renovations, painting walls, or working with saws and power tools is something I not only know how to do, but genuinely enjoy. Large-scale mural painting is another area where I’ve gained experience through commissioned projects.

Music is another passion of mine. I DJ using both vinyl turntables and digital controllers, and love sharing music wherever I go.

Certified in both Freediver Basic and PADI Advanced Open Water Diver, I feel completely at home in the water. I also hold a sailing license, which has allowed me to sail independently and safely – being out on the water is one of my favorite places to be.

I hold a valid driver’s license. Fluent in both Polish and English, I also have a basic knowledge of German, which I'm working to improve.
