---HELLO!---
Dear future HOST! Thank you for visiting my profile. I divided it into main sections to give you as much detail about myself as possible. If you still need to ask about anything, feel free to contact me, I will be very happy to answer all of your questions!

----INTRO----
My name is Martin and I am originally from the beautiful country of Slovakia. I have been living in the Czech Republic for the past 7 years, first studying, then working in IT. Finding out that 24/7 corporate jobs are not really my cup of tea, I decided to pursue my dream on becoming a freelancer, making new friends and discover the world with them.

----WHY I JOINED WORKAWAY----
I want to live like a local, discover hidden gems, traditions and tasty foods I would never discover on my own. Also, I love to help, learn something new in the process and hopefully teach you something new too!

----WHAT DO I DO?----
From my childhood years, I inclined to art and drawing so illustration and web design was a nice place to start my new career. If you are interested, I can teach you or your family how to work with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator (a very valuable life skill) and even design your very own webpage. I just need a few hours a day to make some designs, as this is my only income. I can also practice English conversations with you or your children. I like to work with children too! I really enjoy sport activities and games since I am still a child myself and I am not afraid to admit it :)

----HOBBIES----
Other than my new work I enjoy food of all kinds, I also love to cook and I am always eager to learn something new (not only in the kitchen)! I am quite a bookworm, so I can spend lots of time discussing books. Movies too! One of my favorite directors are Lynch, Dolan or Jarmusch. Music is also my everyday companion and I love to hike, bike, swim and do other types of nature activities! I consider myself a pragmatic person but with a bit of a spiritual side - among other things, I studied buddhism, so if you are into this, we can contamplate over a nice cup of tea or a game of chess. I am also a holder of a drivers license and enjoy driving very much. I am a very calm, responsible driver.

----PERSONALITY----
I am an altruist. I love taking care of people and animals around me, and I am happy to have them in my life. Back at home, we have two cats, three rats and I also had a dalmatian dog of my own. One time we had 4 dogs at our flat and it was absolutely amazing! I do not mind physical work of any kind, I like to get my hands dirty in the garden or help with any other project! I am very practical and responsible and I also like to have my environment clean, so if you need some work around the house done, I am your man! If something I have never done needs to be done, I'm a quick learner and I'm very positive about learning new skills.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

----Photoshop & Illustrator----
I can teach you the basics for understanding how to work with these neat apps! Depending on how much time we’ll have, we can even cover more advanced stuff. You can then use them to enhance your photos, create graphics, build a resume, illustration or a even a website design! Photoshop and Illustrator are really versatile tools and a great life skill to possess!

----English----
You can practice your English with me! Also, I can practice with and teach (on a basic level) your kids!

----Gardening----
Vegies and fruit are my friends, so I will be happy to take care of them! If your garden includes some specimens requiring special care, I will be happy to learn about them. Currently I have over 16 different house plants at home :)

----Sports----
I will be honest, I was never into competing with other and since sports was mainly linked with competition in my world, I never did any. Luckily, that changed when I bought my first road bike and started exploring the world around me in a different way. Sport was not about competition for me anymore, actually I did not realize I am doing sports on my bike! Anyway, I do love biking and swimming very much and would love to get involved if you or your family are on the same page :)

----Cooking/Baking----
I can prepare basicaly any meal (love included), provided I have the recipe. I also have some skills in baking, so I can make you an authentic american cherry pie. I prefer eating completely vegan (also gluten free due to my allergy), but I do not mind preparing meat.

----Repairing/Building/Constructing----
Show me what and I get it fixed! Mostly, I love to dissassemble things :) but I will gladly build or repair something for you. This goes for some basic type of work. If I am confronted with something more challenging, I will mention this and will be happy to learn something new! Dont worry, I am a very quick learner :)

----Cleaning/Housework----
My life environment is super tidy and clean and so will be yours if you host me! I am a bit of a machine when it comes to cleaning - I clean up automatically and with great care. Basically, you can forget about your daily chores when I am around! (I am not a fanatic with OCD though, don't worry 😂)

----Driving----
Do you need your personal driver? I have travelled over 100 thousand kilometers by car and have 15 years of experience. I drive safely and I am very responsible when I have passangers on board. You can just sit back, relax and enjoy the way whilst I get you from point A to point B.
