Description

Olá! We are Marta and Gui — a couple from Lisbon travelling the next few months throughout Asia.

We intend to travel slowly slowly, with the necessary time to build meaningful connections and with the space to blend into the everyday rhythm of life, wherever we go. We believe the best way to truly get to know a place is through the people who live there — whether locals or foreigners who’ve made it their home. That’s why we would love to spend time helping out and becoming a part of the places we visit.

We’re very hands-on, resourceful people and we’d love to get involved in practical, grounded work: from renovating things, taking care of animals or helping out on farms, engaging with people in customer service, to language exchange or assisting with online presence — like social media or brand-building. We find joy in listening, learning new things along the way, and offering whatever skills we have in exchange for connection and new perspectives.

Ah! And Gui is a documentary photographer — he always takes the time to connect and understand the stories of the people he meets along the way.

We are looking forward to this new adventure and to all the people who will be part of it!

We would love to learn more Sinhala or Tamil, and to start getting acquainted with this new alphabet, which is completely unfamiliar to us. In exchange, we could teach Portuguese or English!

We’re quick learners, open-minded, and genuinely enjoy contributing wherever we can!

We’ve spent a lot of time painting & renovating places in Lisbon. We are not afraid of getting out hands dirty or working with tools. We enjoy solving practical problems and making things work again.
We’re detail-oriented and enjoy bringing order and calm to spaces, whether it's homes or work areas.

Marta has a lot of experience in customer service. We have a friendly approach and love to help with guests, hostels, cafés, or anything related to people.

Gui is a documentary photographer with a strong eye for storytelling and capturing authentic moments.

Also, we love language exchange, helping out with online presence (branding ideas, managing social media platforms, ...), and animal care, weather feeding, walking, cleaning, and giving them attention.
