Description
My name is Marlène, I'm 38,
living in a small village in the middle of the French Alps,
renovating a house, and selling my creations (woodturning, ceramics, linoprints and watercolors)
I’m having a sabbatical year and would like to spend time close to nature, discovering new places, new cultures, and maybe learning new skills !
I like simple things and quiet times, being outside (whatever the weather)
foraging and creating things with my hands
Travelling around, I ve discovered that I m quite adaptable,
I love to spend time with people, but I m also totally fine by myself
(and don't need to be entertained)
I m very practical, and my hands are always happy to do something,
I think I can help for many different things
Renovating my house I ve learn quite a few things about DIY from floor to ceiling, about repairing, inventing creative solutions, etc
I also love to cook and discover new food
and I'm sure there is a hundred new things I would love to learn !!

As I’ve renovated my house, I ve got basic skills in a lot of fields,
flooring, painting, electricity, tiling, building basic furniture, fixing stuffs in general.
As an artisan/artist :
Woodturning, working with leather, ceramic, linoprint, etching, painting
and many more !

We had great fun, her easy mind made all conversations interesting and sometime funny. The first day, I showed her the task and what I would like to handle. She made it all and what I like,… read more
I ended up bold enough to knit my first sweater, taking a few showers of sea water around Nolsoy, hearding sheep on the steepest mountain you could imagine, learning the fabulous Faroese way of making a proper gravy, hiking almost everywhere, and even being able to prononce a… read more
