Hi! My name is Marine and I’m 23 years old.

I’m currently solo traveling around South America for six months, and my main goal is to become fluent in Spanish. I’m often described as a cheerful and curious person who loves learning new things, and right now, one of those things is organic farming.

Through this journey, I want to embrace slow travel and learn from the people I meet along the way. I’m trying to become more eco-conscious in both what I consume and how I live, and I believe organic farming plays a big role in caring for the planet. I think it’s something everyone should experience and understand, even at a basic level.

I’m quite an active person, but I also love reading and taking quiet time for myself. I’ve lived in Canada, France, the UK, and Spain, which has given me a strong appreciation for different cultures and ways of life.

In the past, I’ve volunteered in microfinance, but now I’m looking for something more connected to nature. I’ve recently developed a fascination with trees and how they communicate, and I would love to spend time immersed in nature while improving my Spanish.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I studied Psychology and Political Science at university, which gave me strong communication skills, adaptability, and the ability to understand and work well with different people.

I’m not naturally a very manual person, but I’m a fast learner and genuinely enjoy developing new skills. I’m motivated, curious, and not afraid to try new things or step out of my comfort zone.

Recently, I had the opportunity to spend four days at a small camp focused on organic farming and self-sufficient living. During this experience, I learned some basics of organic farming and even helped with building a house from scratch. We also took care of animals, including chickens and donkeys, which I really enjoyed.

I have a real love for animals, I have three dogs at home and I’m very comfortable taking care of them. I would be very happy to help with animals on a farm, whether it’s feeding, cleaning, or simply being around them and learning how to care for them properly. Living with chickens, pigs, or cows is something I would love to experience.

In terms of languages, I speak French and English fluently, and I have a good level of Spanish. I can understand most conversations and I’m eager to keep improving by practicing every day. I’d also be happy to help with language exchange if needed.

More generally, I’m reliable, open-minded, and always willing to help wherever needed. I’m especially interested in learning more about organic farming and sustainable ways of living.

I’m also a very active person and enjoy a wide range of activities. I play tennis, snowboard, practice yoga, and recently started climbing. I used to sail quite a lot as well. While traveling in Brazil, I discovered forró and would love to continue learning it. I also enjoy more relaxed moments like playing card games.
