Hello ! I am Marina, a 26 yo French female. I am working in social and solidarity economy; I did work in different fields as social reuse, recycling sports goods and transitional urbanism, by helping artists and artisans find affordable studio space.
At the moment, I am travelling around Italy with my boyfriend Ben, since we want to discover the country and especially the language. We’ve already had the chance to see some wonderful things and meet great people, but what we’d like most of all from this experience is the opportunity to live with Italians and be immersed in their daily lives. Slowing down, appreciating the present moment, and being helpful in our daily lives now seems essential to us for the rest of this trip.
In my free time, I enjoy sewing, upcycling clothes, and cooking. I’m not a professional when it comes to crafts, but I’m always eager to learn new things and take great care in my work. I am also a very calm, patient, and friendly person. What I love most of all, both in my professional and personal life, is meeting new people.
During my studies, I did a bachelor's degree in applied foreign languages, and I'm very comfortable speaking English and Spanish, in addition to French. Now I'd love to learn Italian!

Hello, my name is Benjamin. My girlfriend Marina and I have been traveling around Italy for the past few weeks.
I work in the restaurant and hospitality industry in France. I love cooking and making cocktails for my friends, family, and girlfriend. As they say, sharing is caring !
I like helping people when they need me. And I’m always eager to learn something new. I’m a very creative person, always ready to come up with new projects.
When I have some free time, I like to go for walks and get lost in the streets, or just sit outside at a café and enjoy watching the world go by. I do work out sometimes, though (LOL).
I’m always smiling, I love meeting new people, and sharing my passion for my favorite city in the world (as well as its soccer team): Marseille, in France!
I want to travel to Italy to learn the language and meet new people with whom I can share my daily life.
A glass of red wine, a beautiful sunset, and meeting you—that’s all it takes to make me happy !

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

When we have some free time, I (Marina) love sewing and doing small repairs. Both of us really enjoy DIY projects; we still have a lot to learn about tools and techniques, but we're very motivated to learn because we think it’s important to be able to handle a variety of tasks, especially in the everyday life.
In my previous job (Marina), I received electrical certification so I could detect malfunctions.
We also love cooking; we are aware of the damage that poor nutrition can cause, both to the environment and to the people working in these sectors. In France, we are members of an association that supports small-scale farming. This allows us to eat seasonal, organic fruits and vegetables grown close to where we live. We also participate in the association’s activities by helping producers with their distributions.
During my university studies (Marina), I learned English, Spanish, and Arabic through a bachelor’s degree in applied foreign languages. Ben speaks English and Spanish as well, and we'd love to speak one of these languages with you, along with French of course!
Though we had different jobs, both of us developed strong organizational skills, whether in a leadership role or as a team member, we’re used to work as a team.
