Hi! My name is María, I’m from Buenos Aires, Argentina.

I'm starting a three-month trip around Europe to discover new places, meet different people and experience everyday life in different places. I’m especially interested in connecting with local people, learning from them and contributing wherever I can.

At the same time, I’m working remotely for an Argentine NGO called Amigos de la Patagonia, which works on environmental education and forest restoration in Patagonia. My background is in communications, so I spend part of my time writing, creating content and supporting environmental projects and community initiatives.

I will need to work remotely for around 4–5 hours a day, so I would need a reliable internet connection. I’m flexible about when I work and happy to organize my schedule around the needs of the project or household.

I really enjoy being outdoors. I’m into climbing, trekking, hiking, cycling and pretty much anything that gets me outside and closer to nature. I also enjoy cooking with friends, reading, writing and having long conversations about new ideas and different ways of seeing the world.

I’m vegetarian and I love healthy food, but I’m also always happy to try something new. I’m curious, easygoing and I really value sharing everyday life, learning from other people and being part of the place I’m visiting.

I’m especially interested in projects connected to nature, environmental education, communities, animals, sustainable living or outdoor activities, but I’m open to learning and helping with all kinds of projects.

I’m also hoping to learn Italian during this trip and get to know Italian culture.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have a background in Communications and several years of experience working with NGOs and social and environmental organizations.

I can help with writing, social media, content creation, newsletters, websites, photography, basic graphic design and communication strategies. I also have experience working with communities, volunteers and environmental education projects.

I’m organized, responsible and used to working independently, as I currently work remotely. I’m also happy to help with practical and physical tasks, especially outdoors. I enjoy trekking, hiking, cycling and climbing, and I’m comfortable with being active and getting my hands dirty.

I have experience with environmental projects and tree planting, and I’d be happy to help with gardening, planting, maintenance, cleaning, organizing or other outdoor tasks.

I also enjoy cooking, especially vegetarian food, and I’m happy to learn new skills and help wherever I’m needed.

I’m used to working as part of a team and I enjoy community-based projects. I speak Spanish and English, and I’m currently learning some Italian.
