Hi! I'm Mariana, an architect from Peru currently living in Spain. I speak **Spanish (native), English and French**, and I love meeting people from different cultures while continuing to improve my language skills.

I'm naturally curious, open-minded and easy to get along with. I'm responsible, calm, positive and someone who genuinely enjoys helping others :). I believe that the best way to discover a country is by living like a local, sharing daily life, conversations, meals and traditions.

Architecture and cultural heritage are my greatest passions. I completed a Master's degree in Historic Architecture and Heritage in Spain, and I'm always fascinated by history, traditional buildings and the stories behind every place. I enjoy exploring small villages, museums, nature and local customs much more than rushing through tourist attractions.

Besides architecture, I love reading, hiking, practicing yoga, cooking, learning languages and spending time outdoors. I'm also happy doing practical tasks, whether it's gardening, painting, organizing, cleaning, helping with guests or taking care of animals. I enjoy learning new skills and I'm not afraid of hard work.

At this stage of my life I'm taking some time to travel slowly before continuing my academic journey. My goal is to improve my French, meet inspiring people and experience different ways of living. For me, Workaway is much more than accommodation in exchange for work—it's an opportunity to build meaningful connections, contribute with enthusiasm and leave every place a little better than I found it.

El español es mi lengua materna, hablo inglés con fluidez y actualmente estoy perfeccionando mi francés mediante la inmersión diaria y conversaciones significativas. También tengo experiencia enseñando español e inglés, creando lecciones personalizadas y prácticas para estudiantes de diferentes edades y niveles. Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have a background in Architecture and Historic Heritage, which has taught me to be organized, detail-oriented, responsible and proactive. I enjoy planning, solving problems and working carefully, whether it's an academic project or everyday practical tasks.

I speak Spanish (native), English and French, so I'm happy to help with language practice, teach Spanish, or communicate with international guests if needed.

I'm comfortable with household tasks such as cleaning, organizing, cooking, laundry and keeping spaces tidy. I enjoy painting, decorating, basic DIY projects and helping wherever an extra pair of hands is needed. I'm also happy to help with gardening, outdoor work and caring for animals.

I have experience working with people from different cultures thanks to my studies and international experience. I'm adaptable, respectful and learn new tasks quickly. Even if I've never done something before, I'm always willing to learn and give my best.

I also have good computer skills, including Microsoft Office, research, writing, presentations and design software related to architecture. If needed, I can also help with administrative tasks or social media content.

More than anything, I bring a positive attitude, reliability and genuine enthusiasm. I enjoy working as part of a team, but I'm also independent and capable of taking initiative when required.

Unas cuantas cosas más sobre mí... Me encantan las mañanas tranquilas con una taza de café, los largos paseos por el bosque, descubrir pueblos escondidos y pasar tiempo en la naturaleza. Cuando viajo, suelo estar más interesada en la vida local que en tachar lugares famosos de una lista. Me apasiona la literatura, la poesía y la historia, y puedo pasar horas leyendo o hablando de libros, culturas e ideas. También tengo experiencia en edición y corrección de textos, así que si alguna vez necesitas una segunda opinión para un documento o proyecto, estaré encantada de ayudarte. El bienestar es importante para mí, así que disfruto practicando yoga y explorando la atención plena y la espiritualidad como formas de mantenerme equilibrada y conectada conmigo misma. Aprecio tanto las conversaciones animadas como los momentos de tranquilidad. Respeto las rutinas y el espacio personal de los demás, pero también disfruto compartiendo comidas, jugando a juegos de mesa, aprendiendo nuevas recetas e intercambiando historias de diferentes culturas. Algo que notarás enseguida es que siempre tengo curiosidad. Ya sea aprender una nueva habilidad, probar una receta tradicional, ayudar con un proyecto o descubrir una forma de vida diferente, me entusiasma aprender y vivir nuevas experiencias.
