I'm Maria, about to turn 21 year old student and traveler from Poland. I’m currently studying English and Arabic Philology at University of Kazimierz Wielki in Bydgoszcz, Poland. Arabic is my absolute passion, and I’m eager to take my skills out of the classroom and into the real world! I feel most alive when I’m on the move, meeting new people, and exploring beautiful cities. Beyond languages, my heart belongs to art, culture and late-night talking;) When im not studying, you will find me in theaters, art galleries, or tucked away with a book. I am also a huge animal lover!
I have a solid background in hospitality from my time working in Greece (reception and housekeeping), so I know how to keep a hostel running smoothly and make guests feel at home:) I also worked in an advertising agency, so I’m happy to help with social media or creative projects! I’m looking for a Workaway experience where I can grow, meet some beautiful souls, practice my language skills, and immerse myself in a new community!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have experience in hospitality, which i gained when i was working in hostel in Greece. I was responsible for both reception and housekeeping, making sure everything is in order:) I’m also experienced in social media thanks to my previous work in an advertising agency, so I can easily manage your online presence, if you wish! Right now, I am studying English and Arabic Philology, which makes me a confident communicator (im fluent in English and Polish, beginner in Arabic, which i have been studying since october) im super motivated to practice and improve my language skills in a real world! I am a determined worker, a fast learner, and a huge animal lover, ready to help with any tasks needed to keep your place running perfectly:)

I’m an easy going person who finds joy in the little things (a good sunrise, a nice mural on the street, a cup of tea, or a smile from a stranger). I’m pretty curious and I love learning from others, whether it’s a local recipe, a bit of history, or a traditional handicraft. I value authentic experiences and meaningful connections. I’m hoping to find a mutual exchange:) I’m here to give my best work and energy, and in return, I hope to leave with a better understanding of your culture and a few new stories to tell!
