  • Description

It's difficult to express in a paragraph what makes us unique. I will say that I have always had this dedication to others and those I love, through my upbringing and personal experiences. I'd also say that today I'm grateful for the path I've travelled and the person I've become thanks to others, but also thanks to myself. I'm a very positive person, always cheerful and smiling, who always sees the bright side of things. Thanks to this, I've been able to move forward in life and realize many of my dreams with unfailing determination.
3 years ago, in 2020, I realized my greatest dream, which was to buy a horse. A dream for which I have made many sacrifices over the years, a dream for which I have been largely discouraged, but a dream fulfilled today and which fills me with happiness on a daily basis. This first step enabled me to understand more about myself and, above all, to trust myself. To follow, not what my head tells me, but what my heart tells me.
This was followed 2 years later by the fulfillment of a second dream, which was to travel solo, with my backpack, with no plans in advance apart from the plane ticket, and to let myself be carried along by the journey and all its magic. So I set off for Sub-Saharan Africa on my first solo trip, and as well it was one of the most beautiful experiences of my life... The trip opened my eyes to the beauty of the world around us, but also to the beauty of the people who make it up. It opened my eyes to who I was and who I wanted to be. And of course, it made me realize just how much I was made to travel, and just how sedentary life was not for me at the moment...
That's why, as soon as I got back from that trip, I decided to buy a van and have it build out so that I could live in it all year round, so as to have my home on wheels, everywhere with me. And there again, what a revelation! I'll never have enough words to express how happy I've been living this nomadic life for almost a year now... I've spent the last year traveling between my workplace, Paris for my studies, my horse's pasture and all the rest of France in my van. Each of my destinations has been punctuated by joy, sharing, encounters and adventures, and I'm so grateful...
Since the beginning of spring, not a weekend has gone by without me visiting friends in the four corners of France, going on vacation with my horse, or being on the road travelling the length and breadth of France (all the while continuing to study and work).
Today, I can say that I'm living the life I always dreamed of as a child, and that I'm proud to have given myself the means to get there.
My desire to travel is stronger than ever and I'm currently in South Africa!

Plus de détails sur les langues qui m'intéressent
When I travel, I always make an effort to learn some vocabulary of the local language in order to better integrate into the culture of the country I am visiting. This always makes the locals appreciative of the effort made and helps to break down barriers. On this other side, I would love to teach English or French!

  • Quelles sont vos compétences ?

    Education:
Born in the United States and raised in France, I followed a traditional educational path until I obtained my High School diploma in 2016.
Still completely unsure of what I wanted to do in higher education, my first dreams of traveling surfaced and I decided to seize the opportunity of this moment of reflection to go to the United States as an au pair.
I stayed few months and on my return, after several months working, I finally decided to study business and digital marketing.
So I did an Advanced Technician's Certificate in Négociation et Digitalisation of Customer Business for 2 years. This was a sandwich course (see the 'Professional Experience' section). I graduated with a two years after High School diploma and was class valedictorian in 2020.
Then, eager to learn even more, I embarked on a 2-year Bachelor in Business and Administration at a leading French business school (EDHEC Business School) in Lille, Northern France. I was also on a sandwich course for these two years. I was graduating with a First Master Degree in 2022.
Finally, I decided to complete my higher education course with a Specialized Master in Project and Program Management, again at a renowned business school: SKEMA Business School in Paris. Once again, a sandwich course. I will graduate from this Second Master Degree in September 2023.

    To sum up:
    - 2016 : Scientist High School diploma - Grenoble, France
    - 2018-2020 : Advanced Technician's Certificate in Negotiation and Digitalization of Customer Relations (apprentice track) - Grenoble, France
    - 2020-2022: Bachelor in Business and Administration, Retail Management option, EDHEC Business School (apprentice track) - Lille, France
    - 2022-2023: Specialized Master in Project and Program Management (apprentice track) - Paris, France

    Work experience
My professional experience is relatively extensive given my age and the number of years of higher education I have completed.
In fact, I think my first and most significant work experience would be as an au pair in the United States in 2016. I then worked as a waitress in a French brasserie on my return in 2017.
That's when the start of my professional career took a turn, as at the beginning of 2018 I was taken on as an Export Area Salesperson for a winegrower in the south-east of France. At the same time, I started my Advanced Technician's Certificate under a work-study contract.
Then I was poached by another winegrower for whom I worked for three and a half years, first as a Sales Assistant, then after a year as Communications and Marketing Manager. I was hired by him on a work-study basis during my school term from 2019 to 2022.
Finally, for my last year of apprentice track, I decided to change sector and company size to work for a multinational in the industrial sector (Group SEB). For the past last year, I've been working as an International Project Manager in the partnership category.
At the same time, and also for the past last year, I've been offering my skills and services as a freelancer to help companies with their business development.

    My main hard skills are
    - marketing
    - online and offline communication
    - project management
    - event management
    - business development

In terms of more manual skills, I can also :
    - run a bar (prepare drinks, cash customers, serve food...)
    - take care of animals (I've been riding since the age of 3 and have owned my own horse for 3 years)
    - prepare meals
And even if there's something I don't know how to do, I learn and understand quickly and am always motivated to develop new skills ;)

    To sum up:
    - 2016-2017: au pair - Minneapolis MN, USA
    - 2017-2018 : waitress - Chambéry, France
    - 2018-2019 : Export Zone Wine Salesperson - Les Marches, France
    - 2019-2020 : Sales Assistant - Myans, France
    - 2020-2022 : Communication and Marketing Manager - Myans, France
    - 2022-2023 : International Project Manager (Partnerships) - Annecy, France

    Travel experience
As far as I can remember, I've always had the soul of a traveler... It's already in my blood, since my parents were globe trotters themselves.
Having been born in a different country from the one I grew up in, I think a certain link with travel was already created at that point.
When I was younger, I was lucky enough to travel regularly in Europe with my parents, and I loved it!
Until I was 18, I traveled to the following destinations:
    - Italy
    - Portugal
    - United States
    - Canada
    - Estonia
    - Switzerland
    - And of course France!
Then, as an adult, whether with family or friends (or even for work), I had the chance to go :
    - Ireland
    - Poland
    - United Kingdom
    - Czech Republic
    - Austria
    - Iceland
Finally, I got a taste for solo adventure a year ago and since then I've covered :
    - Turkey
    - the Netherlands
    - Zanzibar
    - Tanzania
    - Martinique
    - Indonesia
As I write these lines, I'm in Cape Town for a trip of indeterminate length...

  • Autres infos...

I am currently traveling in Southern Africa for an indefinite period.

Freshly graduated with my Master's degree, I want to start my own business after 7 years of working as an employee – a backpacker!
I haven't decided on the location yet, but I already have a well-structured business plan.

Therefore, the objectives of this trip are manifold:
    - There is, of course, the desire to discover new cultures, landscapes, and the thirst for new encounters and fulfilling my travel desires.
    - But there's also the eagerness to contribute to someone/something/a project to make this journey a win-win partnership with the hosts who will welcome me.
    - And thus, in pursuit of this backpacker project, the necessity to immerse myself in various tourist establishments to understand their operations and be as prepared as possible for my own business.
    - The fundamental need to meet new people and share our experiences to mutually grow.
    - The irrational desire to be a traveler and not a tourist.

All these points combined constitute my deep desire to embark on a WorkAway experience!
