Hey everyone! We are a couple from Göttingen, Germany who are looking for a sustainable way to travel the South American continent for some months after completing our respective college degrees.
Mareike, a 27-year old speech and language therapist, is currently finishing up her bachelor degree in therapy sciences. She has been to Colombia and Costa Rica before to visit some of her friends she met during another gap year, and she really fell in love with both countries.
Linus (25) is writing his master thesis in medical research. He did his gap year in North America, however, Mareikes enthusiam got him hooked on visiting the South American continent for their next adventure!
We both have no previous experience with Workaway, but we have heard nothing but amazing reports from our friends and family, so we're really looking forward to making our own memories. A sustainable lifestyle is really important to us, which is why we would especially love to support projects that focus on taking care of our planet. We are very open and helpful and have no problems doing physical labor or working with animals or kids. We speak German, English, and a little French and Spanish. Our travel months will likely be from June to September 2025.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

We have no previous experience with Workaway, but through our respective gap year experiences, we are easily able to adapt to new environments and fit into existing communities. We have no problems doing household chores (cooking, cleaning, ...) and love gardening and growing our own food. We would both also be able to take over some repair work, if necessary. Additionally, we both love kids and animals, and Mareike is of course well experienced in working with children through her work as a speech and language therapist.
