Description
My name is Maisie and I'm a 27 year old doctor, living in Brighton, UK. My real passions are travelling, cooking, and being outdoors.
So far, I have volunteered at a hospice for almost 3 years, at a community allotment project, which involved planting and harvesting many different vegetables, as well as helping to build a compost toilet, and at a food waste cafe, helping to prepare meals from waste food that are sold on a 'pay what you feel' basis.
I have experienced workaway in 2015, when I spent the summer in Italy, travelling around and working at various bnbs, farmstays and hostels, in 2021 where I spent a few weeks helping out at a guesthouse in Sri Lanka, and earlier this year spent some time on an organic farm in Thailand.
I am an active person; in particular I enjoy swimming, hiking and yoga. I am definitely not afraid of hard work and I thrive off of being outside and making myself useful.
I would say my greatest quality is that I am very open-minded and curious and love interacting with people. I am also a fast learner and very willing to complete any and every task I can.
I enjoy nothing more than good conversation over good home-cooked food.
In my spare time, as well as exploring new places, I love listening to music, reading and cooking and would love to learn about the food and traditions of different cultures.
I am an easygoing and diligent person who gets on well with most people as I am very easy to please. :-)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
All sorts of gardening work, cleaning, cooking and looking after children and animals. I am relatively strong and find physical labour very satisfying. I enjoy interacting with people, in particular the elderly and young children.
I am also very motivated and eager to learn. I would love to learn manual labour skills, in particular carpentry, if this could be something mutually beneficial.
