I am a French student who is looking to travel to Norway over June of 2026. I know the country quite well since I have lived there, but would love to improve language skills. Flexible dates and place.

Description

Hey! My name is Mahora, I am a French Student looking for a workaway mission this June. Currently aged 21, I have had the chance to live abroad for a year when I was 18 - in Oslo, Norway. This has sparked a strong interest for solo-traveling and ever since, I have been lucky to explore around Europe a bit. I am a very curious person, I love playing and listening to music, and I have had several professional experiences that have provided me with good adptation skills. This summer, I would love to get to know Norway even more, a country where I have lived, and then travelled to a lot ever since I have moved back to France. A workaway mission would be a good opportunity for me to go back for a longer stay, especially since I am looking to improve my Norwegian skills. Indeed, I truly enjoy learning new languages (I am perfectly fluent in English, B2 in spanish, and B1 in Norwegian at the moment) and I am rather good at getting along with people from different cultural backgrounds.

I am already B1 in Norwegian, but as I am hoping to be B2 by the end of the year, I would love to take this opportunity to improve my skills in this language. I can also teach some French or some English, as they are both languages that I am fluent in and that I have taught to French students as a tutor when I started studying.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have acquired a variety of competences through my different experiences over the years:
- Gardening and landwork: I worked in a vineyard in Bordeaux over the summer of 2022. I was working for long hours (6/7AM to 4/5 PM) in the heat, taking care of the vines and doing viticulture work.
- Working with children / babysitting: I worked with classes of 03-10 year olds over the 2023-2024 school year during my time in Oslo, as I was working at the French School of Oslo. I also give individual singing lessons to kids in primary school.
- Physical work: my summer jobs have all required some strength and endurance including in the outdoors, whether it is when I was working in the vineyard, in a boulangerie (where we make and sell bread), or when working in festivals.
- Housework: I am really good with house cores, and I have helped my mom with small renovation work when I was a teenager.
- Team work: it is a quality that I have developped through my summer and student jobs, but also in the managing of students associations in my university. Indeed, I have been the president of the music club of my school and the musical director for a musical theater club in the past two years - two experiences that have provided me with a good sense of responsiblity and the ability to manage a group of twenty-ish individuals.

I am also good at languages, I can play music (I am a singer and I can play some guitar and some piano) and a good runner :)

As I have mentionned it in my description, i love arts and I am passionated about music. I am a singer, I play in a band and I can play a little bit of guitar and piano. I have been the president of my university's music association for a year, and I am now the musical director for a musical theater club. Therefore, I would love to share some knowledge about art and music, maybe teach some singing (I give some individual lessons to make some money when I am studying), or learn more instrumental skills. And even if this is not relevant for the mission you would give me, I think it says a lot about who I am as a person!
