Description

We are skilled, experienced, mature workers. We have travelled extensively, have worked abroad and have house swopped on numerous occasions.
We are a very happy, upbeat couple, both of us have just turned 60. We absolutely love meeting new people of all ages, young and not so young and relish new experiences and are looking forward to learning about different cultures around the world.
We are both about to retire and are planning to travel for the next few months.
We are very hard working but like to enjoy ourselves too and are at home in any environment.
Dave has spent the last 10 years managing his own coffee shop. As well as being an experienced Barista, he is an excellent cook. In the past, Dave has also worked as, a master engraver in the world famous Waterford Crystal, a builder's assistant, and a manager of a property portfolio.
We have recently downsized our home and have decorated, including painting, wallpapering, flooring, decking etc ourselves. We have made headboards & cushions, decoupaged furniture and have done basic upholstery. As keen gardeners, our main project this year was expanding our vegetable garden. We both enjoy working in our home too and like to keep it spotlessly clean and tidy.
Mags has worked as a community Pharmacist. In the past she has also worked in a commercial kitchen, a pub, many times as a childminder and also a cleaner. As owner managers of 2 pharmacies with a staff of 35 people we know the trials and tribulations of owning your own business. Mags loves cooking & baking, is a keen dressmaker, trained vaccinator and first responder.
We both love working together but can, of course, work independently too. We are easy going and relaxed and get along extremely well with other people.
We have very good computer skills and have vast experience with administration work.
Both fit and healthy, are non-smokers and love walking/hiking/trekking having completed the Camino Santiago (Spain), Camino Portuguese (Portugal) and part of the Via Francigena (Italy) from Lucca to Sienna. We enjoy yoga, swimming, snorkeling, cycling, golfing and Dave adores sailing. We both like a nice glass of wine and good healthy food. We both have our full drivers license and are fully Covid vaccinated.

We enjoy helping look after animals and regularly dog sit for our friends when we are at home.
Our 3 adult children are living independently in Canada and Australia, all having inherited our travel bug!
We would love to help with whatever project you have. If we haven’t the know how we are fast learners and will give 110% to help you out.

We are experienced in all aspects of running both a retail and a hospitality business. Our other skills include childminding, cooking, baking, cleaning, DIY including painting, decorating, decking, wooden flooring, gardening, dressmaking, interior decor, and good computer skills.
