Hello! I'm Maddy, an Aussie living and working in the UK having recently graduated from the University of Queensland, Australia with a degree in International Relations. I enjoy learning the nuances and traditions of other cultures, and am privileged enough to have travelled parts of Europe previously, both accompanied and solo.
I have considerable experience working in customer facing roles such as hospitality, as well as in the education and childcare sector. I'd love to continue to enrich my worldview via work, travel and building meaningful connections, whilst I have the freedom and means to do so!

I studied French at University but would love the opportunity to build confidence in speaking and listening. As a native English speaker I am more than happy to help others improve their English. I have some experience assisting the teaching of phonetics and foundational literacy to students in a previous role.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
I have over 6 years experience in hospitality, largely front-of-house, customer facing roles in wineries and high end restaurants. This has taught me the importance of effective, concise communication and teamwork in fast-paced environments, whilst ensuring patrons have an enjoyable and distinctive experience. These roles also built my proficiency in point-of-sale systems and commerce platforms in data, analytics, and inventory.
Since living in the UK I've been working in the Education and Childcare sector. This includes assisting students with special educational needs by tailoring lessons to their needs and interests. I've completed a variety of safeguarding programs, and am up to date on all relevant policy and codes of practice in order to effectively monitor the physical, social, and emotional welfare of children. I have a current DBS and Australian Federal Police check as a prerequisite for these roles.
