Hi! My name is JoJo, and I am from the Bay Area. I am a firm believer that the best part of traveling is people you meet, so ideally, I am looking for Workaways where I can interact with and learn from others.

I am a quick learner and not afraid to get my hands dirty. I also am extremely passionate about the environment and sustainability. I am majoring in Enviornmental Science at UC Berkeley, and I hope to work with wild animals professionally when I graduate.

Here are some fun facts about me:
I used to have a pet lizard named Birdy.
I've lived in China, the US, and Japan.
I LOVE to cook and bake

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am very social and have lots of experience working with people:
I have worked as a teaching assistant at Berkeley's BBay summer camps, where I taught English to Chinese students living in the US. Being fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese, I frequently tutor students in both Mandarin and English over zoom. I also have experience teaching Chinese calligraphy to memory impaired seniors at my local nursing home.

I have a food handlers license and am able to cook for you. I also have plenty of experience in the retail industry, so I understand the importance of good customer service. I am also willing to clean, take care of animals, and am happy to help out in whatever way possible!

I love to paint in my free time but never received a formal education in the art, so I'd love to learn new skills and tips from fellow artists. I also love romance books, being outdoors, and caring for animals. I am currently vegetarian but open to veganism. I hope to learn to surf and get better at snowboarding during my travels.
