Hi all! I’m Luke. I’m 22 years old and have decided to travel around the world after having just graduated. I have just done a ski-season in Japan and despite skiing my whole life I have found a new love for snowboarding. In conjunction to snowboarding I love diving, hiking, surfing, music and learning. I’m in a band back home, in Australia, where I rock the bass (kind of). I’ve got my Open water Cert and have dived about 10 times around Asia. I really want to take this time I have to understand as much about the world and people around me as possible and learn new skills and make unforgettable memories!

I have always been interested in learning Spanish and French. In saying that I have learned a bit of Japanese and have loved that and I would be open and excited the idea of learning any other languages. I also am a fluent english speaker and have looked into getting a qualification to teach. I would love for the opportunity to teach english!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

So these are a few things that I have done that highlight some skills I have learned throughout my time here:
- I graduated from university with a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics.
- I also have a certificate in basic first-aid and am looking into acquiring an english teaching certificate.
- I have worked in multiple bars from a local pub to a high end wine bar.
- I’ve spent time in Australia working on a mango and lychee farm.
- I’ve worked as a surf life saver at the beach and a life guard at a water park.
- I have also given tours of the Story Bridge in Brisbane, Australia and have managed their emails and social media.
- I’ve worked in a warehouse as a floor hand and also in the office in logistics planning and personnel coordination.
- I was in a state level surf rowing team, where we qualified for a national competition.
As shown above, I’ve experienced a variety of work environments and acquired a variety of skills in the process. I have learned about teamwork, communication, maintaining a strong work ethic and a joyful attitude, leadership, cultivating positive relationships within a work environment, attention to detail as well as customer service and safety.

A few extra things about me, I love card games (I would mention them but the same card game has a million different names). I love to surf and I love the ocean. I’m travelling around Asia and Europe and I’m up for going wherever life takes me!
