Hi! I'm Lukas, a teacher from Italy with a passion for languages, travel, and meeting people from different cultures. I enjoy staying active through hiking, running, and strength training, and I'm always happy to learn new skills. I speak German, Italian, English, and some Japanese, and I love helping others with languages or any daily tasks. My goal with Workaway is to experience local life, contribute where I can, and make meaningful connections along the way.

Languages have become of my biggest passions. My main goal during my stay is to improve my Japanese through everyday life and conversations with native speakers. At the same time, I'd be happy to help others practice or learn German, Italian or English. As a qualified teacher, I enjoy explaining things and adapting to different learning styles, whether it's through casual conversation or more structured lessons. I believe language exchange is one of the best ways to connect with people and experience a culture.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have a Master's degree in Education and work as a high school teacher, mainly teaching geography and ethics. Besides teaching, I have experience in vineyards, apple orchards, private tutoring and security work. I'm also a certified personal trainer with a strong interest in strength training, endurance sports and martial arts. I enjoy physical work and working with people and interested in learning new tasks.
I speak German (native), Italian and English (C1), have Japanese (around JLPT N3), and I'm always happy to help with languages or teaching. I'm comfortable working independently or as part of a team and enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds. I'm motivated to contribute wherever I'm needed.

I enjoy hiking, trail running, strength training and martial arts. I also like reading, learning languages and exploring new places. Every now and then I enjoy playing video games or going out for a few drinks and meeting new people. I'm curious and enjoy conversations about history, philosophy and different cultures or really anything that people are passionate about. For me, the best part of travelling is getting to know local people, and making experiences together.
