Description
So far, we've had some amazing experiences thanks to Workaway. Whilst staying all over Canada in 2022, we helped hosts with gardening, furniture restoration, animal care, cleaning, DIY and general housework, as well as volunteering at a day program providing support for people with dementia and brain injury.

A bit more about us:

Lucy- I love being out in nature, hiking, running, camping, writing and reading. I'm not scared of a challenge and love having as many new and different experiences as possible. I find a lot of joy in helping others, having worked primarily in social care supporting domestic violence victims. I also have experience working as a summer camp counsellor; providing full-time childcare and coming up with creative activity ideas.

Will- I enjoy all sorts of DIY tasks, fixing and repairing. From sewing to furniture restoration to gardening, I am not afraid to muck in or try new things. I am easy-going and love talking to new people and sharing knowledge.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
Will- In terms of DIY and maintenance, I am skilled in sewing, carpentry, fixing/repairing, up-cycling and basic electronics. I am also sporty, and particularly enjoy skiing, climbing and golf.

Lucy- I have lots of experience in people-centred roles, with both children and adults. My role as a camp counsellor demonstrates my ability to provide full-time childcare, as well as being creative and entertaining. In my current role as a support worker, I provide practical and emotional support to vulnerable adults, and am an advocate for mental health and trauma awareness.

We are both skilled at cooking, including catering to vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free diets. We also have skills in cleaning, gardening, computer literacy and problem-solving. We are both musical, and enjoying singing and playing instruments.

What more could you want with this couple, Will and Lucy. They provided us superb piano, singing and guitar playing everyday along with oh so tasty vegan and vegetarian cooking and baking.
