Hello, I love the great outdoors and exploring new places and a couple of years ago I had a career break from my job as librarian/archivist for 18 months and did Workaway in Ireland, Scotland and England. It was a fantastic experience and now I am back in a fulltime job but I would still like to have a Workaway experience during my work holidays, to connect with other curious travelling souls and to open myserlf up to synchronicities and new experiences.
I am a keen cross country runner and love wild swimming and have always preferred a sustainable, rural way of life. When I was younger I lived and worked on an organic livestock farm and I loved working outdoors whatever the weather. I enjoy the routine tasks of farming, feeding, bedding, mucking out and animal handling. I also really enjoy running a house and cook, cater and clean for lots of people with plenty of enthusiasm. I come from a large family and have also worked as a chalet girl for 2 seasons which made me really organised in the home! I have grown up children who live elsewhere now, so I love meeting people on my holidays and forming new connections.
I have a really cheerful and flexible attitude and am happy to help wherever required. I happily work on my own as I have plenty of initiative but equally love the fun and banter of other people. Last summer I was in Denmark for a truly memorable Workaway and this year I would like to get to know more of Scandinavia, or a tiny part of it at least. I play folk music on my flute and would love to learn some scandinavian tunes. I am excited to see what's in store!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
I am great at cooking, cleaning and organising. My cheerful attitude helps me to get on well with people and I'm a good communicator with plenty of initiative. I've worked on an organic farm and at a livery stables and I enjoy outdoor work whatever weather comes along. I've fed lambs, kept chickens, bedded cattle sheds, walked dogs, mucked out horses. I'm flexible and happy to turn my hand to whatever required.
