Quelles sont vos compétences ?
All the things listed below are passions of mine. I don't see them as jobs. I truly love each one!
CATOGORY BABYSITTING/ KIDS:
1) Babysitting:
Since the age of 9, I have babysat. In the beginning, it was something I did once a month, but for a couple of years, I babysat a lot. I have been a babysitter for many different children. Some of the children I babysat had a handicap; others did not speak the same language as me. They all ranged from 1 to 15 years old.
2) One-day internships in a special needs school:
I did 10 times one-day internships in a special needs school and once in a one-day kindergarten with special needs kids.
3) Birthday parties:
I have organized, prepared, and supervised a children’s party (I did this four times).
4) Working on the farm:
I worked weekly on a farm (Begin 2023-Mid. 2024). On this farm, there are so-called 'club days', where I coached children between 5 and 12 years old (and take care of the animals).
5) 1-month Au-Pair experience:
I was the Au Pair of a really sweet boy. I learned because of his Down syndrome a bit of German sign language. This was an amazing experience!
6) Sister:
My amazing, smart, kind, and inspirational sister (3 years younger) has an unknown disability. This disability mostly impacted her speech, but also other things. I learned a lot from seeing her reach goals, doctors said she never would. It taught me patience and a lot of love for interacting with kids, with and without disability. When she turned 6 (I was 9 at that time), I started babysitting and now 9 years later, I still love it with all my heart. No matter the age, language that they speak, their hobbies, handicap, or something else special, playing with kids has become one of my biggest passions (partly because of my amazing sister!)
7) I have a diploma for first aid with babies and children (Under 18 years old). Where I learned a lot online and did a lot of practice in a room with my hands practicing the skills.
CATOGORY ANIMALS:
1) One-day internships:
I helped with an Animal Ambulance for a day rescuing animals and helping with the first aid. I also assisted at a veterinary clinic for an entire day, watched operations and echo scans, helped clean the animals, gave shots, and much more.
2) 2-month long internship in a dog-school:
I assisted a dog trainer daily for 2 months with training dogs. Learning how to train the dogs, learning basic commands, learning to bond between humans and dogs, how to teach the sport ''Hoopers'', learning the basics, and so much more!
3) Working on a farm:
I worked weekly on a farm. On this farm, I took care of the horses, rodents, and cats. Giving food, cleaning the environment, or collecting the animal poop. I trained a sheep to turn in a circle on commando (You will never believe how much sheep can be alike dogs!)
4) Pet sitting and walking with dogs:
I ''pet sitted'' on cats, dogs, and rodents for also longer periods. I try to walk as much as possible with the dogs of the neighbor; when I'm at home, I walk with them for around 2-6 hours a week. One of the two dogs just got diagnosed with DM; this causes his legs (the behind ones) are become paralyzed...
5) 6 weeks working on a sustainable animal sanctuary
I volunteered in Tenerife on a animal sanctuary. I worked daily with goats, pigs, sheep, rabbits, guinea pigs, dogs, cats, ducks, chickens etc. I learned a lot about the care for the animals.
6) Rescuing and raising a duck (untill he was old enouh to survive outside with other ducks)!
I found a injured duckling during my experience on Tenerife. He was about 2 days old. I adopted him and took care of him day and night. We bonded quickly and he truly thought I was the mom. For 5 weeks without a stop, I had a pooping, beeping, crazy but amazing, loving, hilarious duck somewhere with me. This was an exhausting experience (I had to wake up for the first 2 weeks 9 times a night, and the last 3 weeks between 2 and 6 times), but wow... This duck, named Ocean, is something I will never forget! So about taking care of a baby duck to adulthood, I know all about it!
Catogory Creative:
I'm also a creative person; I love to draw, write made-up stories, paint, build stuff from cardboard and crochetÂge
