Description

Hey there ! I’m Louis ! I left my home country which is Switzerland in the beginning of 2025 to explore and discover the world since then I’m working here and there, learning about new people, culture and history. Which is why I've joined the workaway community, to help, discover and to be completely immersed in local life and also to pass on my knowledge.

In Switzerland, I have worked for eight years in civil ingineering during what I also did some houses constructions for a year. I really like to be outside, to work with my hands and with other people.
I was a quite bored of my routine which is why I quit my job and I'm now thirsty of new adventures !
Since I left I’ve been up to discover and to love the farmlife with a wonderful family in Malaysia for a while. To work in a restaurant and finally ended in Canada to do some reforestation for a whole season.

Beside that I really enjoy being in nature whether for a long hike with camping or even climbing a cliff or riding a bike. I do love water sports as well like scuba diving or surfing. In fact kind of everything related with nature and wildlife !

I'm looking forward to meet new people and get new experiences in every kind of job !

I'll be pleased to teach my native language which is French, or my knowledge in English. I'm always interested about the language of the country i'm visiting. I would also like to learn about Spanish and continue to perfecting my English. If you can teach me about this, I'll be pleased to learn it !

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

What about my skills ?

By having worked in construction, i'm able to work manually and in difficult conditions. I spent my last working year as team leader in a small company. It was my first and i really enjoyed the experience. I like to work with other people, learn by them and pass my knoweledge as possible. I consider myself an open-minded, respectful and empathic person.

During my free time, i'm doing a lot of rock climbing, I know how to open a route and insure people. Hiking and go mountain biking are also in my favorite outside activities. I have my driver licence for cars and motorbikes and can do some transportations if needed.
These last years, I'm interesting about scuba diving, I've made few dives during my trip and passed my second level, the Padi advanced open water diver.

When I was younger, I used to do some babysitting to help my neighbors when they was working and get a bit of money during my studies. I also really like to take care of any kind of animals and sometimes doing some gardening.

From the beginning of my trip i'm taking a lot of pictures that i like to edit, which can be useful if you have some social networks to handle.

My native language is French. I've also learned English during three years at school and I'm still learning it and perfecting it by travelling, watching some movies and listening to music.

If someone wants to learn any of these competences, I will be pleased to transmit it !

I play chess and can be your opponent if you want. A bit of basketball and football for fun as well. And I didn't mention the winter sports as skiing or snowboarding that i'm practicing and are really popular in my country.
