Description

Hi! Louis and Phoebe here, we are currently looking for our next adventure somewhere amongst the snowy peaks of Japan. We are both avid skiers/snowboarders and met last winter season in Portes Du Soleil. Since then, we have worked together during the summer doing festival work for a glamping tent company, and recently got back from spending 1 month travelling around central Europe. One of our favourite things to do together is cook and experiment with new recipes, especially for friends and family!

I, Phoebe, am from Somerset, England, and having worked the last ski season as a bartender and waitress in Morzine, I fell in love with living in the mountains. I would love the opportunity to work in such a beautiful location again, alongside working in and being surrounded by a completely new culture in Japan; one I have been intrigued about since a child, growing up watching Studio Ghibli films.

Hi, my name is Lou and am a resident Scouser of Liverpool. I’m passionate about nature and the outdoors and I love to explore new places. I have always viewed Japan as a culturally rich country, from the amazing architecture and gardens, incredible landscapes and the complex and interesting social constructs; it has been one of my most desired destinations since a young age.

We hope our paths will cross soon; we look forward to hearing from you!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Our skills include cooking, general housekeeping/cleaning, customer service, interpersonal skills and teamwork. We have both worked in physical labour outdoors in unpredictable UK weather conditions, so aren't strangers to getting hands on with things.

Phoebe:
I have worked as a short-term English tutor/helper to a young child. I also have 8 years' work experience in hospitality, including various bars, restaurants, events and currently weddings; I really enjoy working face to face with customers.

I have had a Full UK drivers license for the past 6 years, and am able to obtain an international drivers license before starting work.

Louis:
During last year's winter season, I worked as a chalet host with a plethora of responsibilities such as bartending, general cleaning, change overs, waitering, assisting in the kitchen and most importantly, building a good rapport with guests whilst making them feel comfortable and welcome.

Together, we understand the importance of attention to detail when it comes to hospitality, and that the finer details can make a real difference to the overall customer experience! For any more info about previous work experience please don't hesitate to ask.

Phoebe:
I’m passionate about fitness and the outdoors, having grown up on a farm, as well as spending time keeping fit in the gym. I also use my time to craft, including crocheting all sorts of useful bits, jewellery making and stitching. I’d say I am a people's person, whether it’s working alongside new people, or meeting new faces whilst travelling around.

Louis:
Hobbies of mine include sports like football, skiing and sailing. I also love live music, I used to help run open mic nights for new and old singers to gain confidence performing, and generally create a great atmosphere. I recently got a high-quality camera, so can take quality photographs of anything you might want to showcase online about your business.
