Hi everyone, We are Louisa and Fabien a 30 years old couple from Brittany in France. For 5 years Louisa has been working in the tourism destination management industry in France and believe that tourism should match with sustainable development and circular economy. Fabien has been working for 11 years as a Barista in french coffee shop and is caring about products and its quality in food and beverages. We love discovering local life and to be close to basics. We are looking for true cultural share. While travelling we want to discover local initiatives in circular economy, local developpement, social and solidarity project. On another hand we'd love to learn about anything, whether it is cultural, technical or any other topics.
In life we both love to be busy. In her free time, Louisa do some sewing and other craft activities, going out with friends, trying all the food I can and reading ! I also enjoy painting about my experiences... I also practice ashtanga yoga for six years now and started to be trained as a yoga teacher for a year.
Fabien love to watch movies at the cinema, but also drawing and he begins with painting. Probably due to occupationnal hazard, he love spend time and share with people, to cook for and serve others. Last thing, he is very curious and love learning about the world.
Both of us are also found of outdoor activities : Hiking, biking and running are activities we appreciate to discover places but we are alway keen to try new things !
Food is also a great part of ou life as we love cooking, for us it is a way to share love with people. We think cooking connect people and connect us to earth.
We are curious and outgoing, love meeting new people and sometimes also like to be calm and enjoy the peacefulness of a place.
We are on train trip form brittany our home to southern asia and we'd love to meet people on our way.

We spent 2 wonderful weeks helping Jasper & Rose at their amazing place. We feel welcomed as family members by the two of them and their 2 cats and dogs. Where to start.... I spent six amazing weeks at Hanna and Folke's place. I remember well my first day as I thought that the place was reaching more than my expectations. "Tack" is one of the (very) few Swedish words I learnt but also the most usefull to describe how I feel toward this sharing experience. There is so much to say and I will probably… read more forget many things but I definitely won't forget to recomand Hanna and Folke as wonderfull hosts.

Hanna and Folke are creating a wonderfull place and it has been a honnor to be part of the project. As a volunteer we feel part of their dream and it as always been a pleasure to help them reaching it (as much as I could do). Staying at their place will not onlly be an amazing working experience but also a mind opener experience and a friendship journey. People here have so much to share with brain and heart. I felt home since the first hour and I was very sad to leave the place and the people. The work is diversified and Hanna and Folke aim to combine your interests and skills to their needs. Thus, it is the perfect match for both workers and hosts ! It is a place where you can leave your creativity growing. I also had the chance to help the lovely neighbors harvesting honey, which is an example of a nice task we had. I never felt bored working at the farm. In my case I worked with other workawaayers, team work was so satisfying and fullfilling ! It was always a plasure to cook for this Västersätter familly.

You can always arrange your working hours as you wish, which is a great chance to explore th country side and (why not) all Sweeden. There is so much to do and to see around. Of course you can always take a bus and reach another city, but the area is also rich and pleasant. During the hotest days I was so happy to have a river closeby to jump after a sweating working day. Hanna and Folke are always happy to give you advices for a day or a weekend trip, and when they can, they also do as much as they could to help you achiving your plan (borrowing hammocks, bikes, drop us to the bus....).

Having conversation with both of them is always a source of new knowledge as they are knowledgeable in permaculture way of life and other deep subjects. I wish I can come here every summer to see the evolution of the place and I wish their projects will continue to grow (I have no doubt about that). Instead I will follow the evolution thanks to the satelites and see if the tree of life permaculture garden is growing !

If you like animals the place will not disapoint you neither, even if Stella (the dog) will always prefer Folke as you, she is always in for a cuddle ! Sheep and chickens will help you to be awake in the morning and Sixter (the cat) will ignore you most of the time, but his beauty is the reason I guess !

I am a so gratefull I had the chance to stay 6 weeks with you Hanna and Folke (rather than two haha). I feel very lucky that you let me enter into your life for a short moment. The place is full of kdness, joy, laughs, knowledge, beauty, peace, hardworking, open minds and so more ! Thank you for having introduced me to your lovely friends and relatives, each meeting has fed my brain and I'll always remember that. I hope I'll be able to share what I gain here to my relatives now. I'll always consider you and your place as a hope example !
