Les activités qui m'intéressent :

I am traveling with my 8 year old daughter. We want to experience other ways of life that are close to the land such as growing food, building homes, caring for animals, cooking, etc.

Description

My daughter and I are taking a gap year, traveling through Spain Portugal, and Morocco. Our aim is to learn about the ways people house, feed, and care for themselves.

My daughter is 8, and in the Waldorf system, this is the age when kids learn about self-sufficiency and study building, farming, and cooking. I thought it would be more fun to do it on the road, and hopefully learn some languages and meet some interesting people along the way.

I am an engineer by training, a career which has given me the chance to live and work all over the world. My real passions though are photography, adventures, and trying to understand this strange miracle we call being human.

We would like to pick up basic Spanish if we can. My daughter speaks Russian and Turkish. I speak French (and snippets of other languages from our travels)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have sent 20 years working as an engineer. Before that i grew up in alternative communities with lots of animals and farming style activities. I am a bit rusty on the farming, but i learn quick, am happy to follow instructions and enjoy getting my hands dirty.

I do need to make sure the experience is beneficial and enjoyable for my daughter, so please tell me if you think that wouldn’t fit with what you are looking for. She loves to be helpful, but also loves to play with other kids her age.
