Currently in Italy near Venice, with a great host Workaway (our mission is to take care of a child and a dog everyday), we will continue our road trip to Slovenia and then head to Croatia.

Description

Hello! 👋 We are Ethan and Loevan, two 18-20-year-old friends, ready to embark on new adventures through Workaway. We have both just completed our high school diploma, and we are looking for enriching opportunities to travel, discover new cultures, and share our skills, while also learning new ones. We are dynamic, autonomous people passionate about discovery and learning.

Ethan: I love cinema, travel, and sports—passions that reflect my curiosity for the world and different ways of life. This year, I aim to focus on video editing/filmmaking/photography before continuing my studies in cinema back in France. I also want to acquire new skills through the various tasks you could offer us. I am eager to explore, whether it’s through human connections or discovering places around the world.
My skills:
• Sales and customer service: gained through experience at a well-known skate shop.
• Cooking: immersion in a brigade at a Michelin-starred restaurant, where I learned discipline and creativity.
• Photography and video editing: fields I enjoy for capturing and sharing my experiences.
• Versatile tasks: babysitting, gardening, small renovation work, showing my flexibility and eagerness to get involved.

Loevan: I love sports, going out with my friends and travelling. I stopped studying because it no longer suited me, when I left high school I immediately knew that the studies were not made for me so I prefer to travel and meet new people. I am someone who loves adventure, discovering, experiencing, learning new skills, helping people in difficulty and sharing my knowledge.

I speak English at a beginner level, but I try to learn and deepen the language through the trip.

My skills:

Contact with the person: I worked in trade, in large-scale food distribution, French brand: Intermarché

Interior or exterior work: I worked in masonry as an intern and I often help my father do work at home

Taking care of children or animals: I have already had the opportunity to babysit and I often keep my family's animals whether it's a dog or a cat

We are helpful and motivated, always ready to assist and commit to whatever is needed. With our strong interpersonal skills and adaptability, we integrate easily and always do our best to contribute positively.

Our goal: To participate in various projects to enrich our personal journey while making a real contribution to our hosts.

Temporary work experience:
• Food industry: Participation in production lines, strict adherence to hygiene and safety standards.
• Manufacturing (doors, garages, windows): Assembly, quality control, and meticulous work in workshops or factories.
• Manual labor: Loading, unloading, organizing, and handling goods efficiently.

Other practical skills:
• Gardening: Maintenance of green spaces, lawn mowing, pruning, and other tasks related to outdoor landscaping.
• Construction: Involvement in various tasks (painting, small renovations, site preparation).

Qualifications:
• Ethan: Holder of a general high school diploma, bringing analytical skills and adaptability.
• Loevan: Holder of a vocational high school diploma in sales, with expertise in prospecting, customer advice, and negotiation techniques.

Strengths:
• Ability to adapt to diverse environments and a variety of tasks.
• Strong teamwork skills and independence in completing tasks.
• High versatility, combined with a strong desire to learn and evolve.
