Hi there!

We are Florian and Lina, a couple from Germany. We graduated last summer and are now planning our trip to explore the world before starting to study.
Our plan is to stop in San Francisco and Tokyo on our journey to New Zealand and back home. By the time of our stay we will be 18 and 19 years old.
We're staying in New Zealand for three months (from March to May 2025) and are looking for friendly hosts :)
We both speak English and German of course. Lina is also fluent in French and knows some Spanish.

We will start in Auckland and then travel around both isles.
Both of us are eager to discover New Zealand, especially its variety of landscapes. Of course we are also curious about the culture and traditions of the country. Although we have a rough idea of what our itinerary will look like, we would love to hear your suggestions on which places to visit or which activities are a must!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

In general, we're happy to help you with any tasks you need a helping hand for.

Lina: I enjoy doing yoga and would describe myself as a creative person who likes painting and photography. I love learning about other languages and cultures and I'll be happy to exchange with you about the languages I know and their cultural differences. Planning, organising and categorising tasks or projects is also something I enjoy doing. I'm open to a variety of tasks that you can offer and to learning new skills. I pay attention to details and like to complete tasks thoroughly, so I don't mind tasks that need a lot of patience :)

Florian: I like to surf, but I'm not a pro ;) and enjoy tinkering in my garage, especially with wood and metal. The last project I worked on was welding and installing a steel framework for a photovoltaic module which is now collecting sunlight in our backyard and producing electricity. Lina helped me with the varnishing part of this project. I have a hand for repairing all sorts of things, including electricity and tech. I'll be able to repair and help around the house and I'm familiar with using tools. I know stuff about programming and computers as well, so I can assist you with tasks that require this type of knowledge.

Most importantly, we would love to tackle any project you have going on and lend a helping hand, while learning about your daily life in New Zealand! :)

  Florian is vegetarian but doesn’t need you to cook anything special, he is totally fine with simply leaving out the meat in a dish. Lina eats pretty much everything but avoids foods containing sugar because it doesn’t suit her metabolism.
