Hi we're Ella and Lily :) and are super excited to be traveling in New Zealand together! We cannot wait to see more of this beautiful country and get to know new people. We are currently exploring the South Island, we had a wonderful couple weeks in Dunedin and are currently staying in Te Anau and Milford Sound. We are planning a two week roadie for the end of October from Queenstown to Wellington, with lots of stops along the way, and can't wait to see the West coast!

Hi! We're Helen and Lily, two besties traveling New Zealand together for a couple months! We are curious and outgoing people, eager to experience all the beauty of this country and meet new people along the way.

Ella: I am just finishing up a year of service with a service learning program in Southern Oregon, working in food systems. Being outside, my friends, and cooking all bring me joy!

Lily: I am currently working at a local used bookstore in Portland, Oregon. I enjoy spending time outside, reading, and being with my family and friends!

We're motivated by the people around us and trying new things!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Hi I'm Ella! I have a degree in International Studies, with an environmental justice and sustainable development focus from the University of San Francisco. This past year I participated in a service-work fellowship, working with a small non-profit to write a community food assessment as well as work one on one with a farmer starting a small food hub! I loved the mix between hands on work on the farm or in the garden and the community engagement work I participated in through writing the food assessment.
I especially enjoyed learning more about how community supported agriculture can work (including packing and running the weekly pick ups), chatting with vendors weekly at the farmers market, and learning lots about the food system in rural Oregon! I also have experience in the food service industry as a server, front of house staff, and catered large events such as weddings.

I also have 10+ years of childcare experience, including being a full-time nanny for a little over a year. I've also babysat and worked at kids summer camps.

Hi I'm Lily! I have a degree in Sociology and Environmental Studies from the University of San Francisco. At school I worked with the community garden, mainly harvesting and cooking/baking meals and baked goods give away at the school's food pantry. I enjoy working in the garden and the rewarding nature of growing food. I also have work experience in book selling, food service, and childcare.

I started working at a bookstore this year and love it, I really love to read but love talking to people about their favorite books even more, it has been a great way to meet new people. I have been working in foodservice and childcare for the past 10 years. For foodservice I have worked both in kitchens and as a server, I love doing prep work and cooking communally. I have been working with kids since I was 12 years old, from ages 0-13. I have done childcare most of my life and been a part time nanny for a 5 year old for two years. I also have done some outdoor education at an outdoor school teaching 6th graders about nature, specifically about water science.
