Description

Hi—I’m Lu, I’m 18 years old and from the outskirts of London. I have been solo travelling full time since January 2025 to experience how other cultures live, to write and to learn from doing.

I’ve worked in pubs, kitchens, community centres, and behind the bar at a few gigs. I’m happiest when there’s a task to do and still time to think. I enjoy getting to know people and be social, but I also value the quiet - both in equal measure.

I’m happy to help wherever I’m needed. I learn fast, I don’t mind getting my hands dirty, and I’ll always try to leave a place better than I found it.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

From spending the last months volunteering I have some experience in:
- Permaculture gardening
- Weeding, mulching, harvesting, planting.
- Painting (textured surfaces as well as not.)
- Exterior painting & Staining of wood etc.
- Putting together furniture/dismantling furniture.
- Decluttering/organising
- Deep cleaning.

From working for 3 years in an Inn:
- Hospitality/customer service
- Bar work
- Serving tables/taking orders
- communication skills
- money management/cash handling
- room servicing/changing linen, cleaning etc.

From living near a farming community:
- Pet care
- generally very comfortable with animals
- grooming horses/mucking out stables
- horse riding
- chicken care/cleaning out/wing clipping
- dog walking

From my studies:
- Teaching English
- interested in History, the classics and philosophy.
