Hello!
We’re Lidia (30) and Laura (33), a cheerful couple from Barcelona, traveling for some months through the Pacific region. We are passionate about nature, meeting new people, exploring local cuisine, and staying active. We like sports, reading, music and discovering new places.
We’re active members of the Servas community and enjoy hosting travelers from around the world. Getting to know people from different cultures and sharing stories is something we truly cherish.
Lidia is a physiotherapist specialized in pelvic floor dysfunctions, while Laura has just completed her Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence, specializing in mathematics and computer science at a university in Barcelona.
With Laura’s recent graduation, we’re now looking forward to moving to a smaller town outside from Barcelona. But before that we’re taking time to travel, meet new people, and gain fresh perspectives.
In our free time, we stay active with padel tennis, soccer, climbing, and lindy hop dancing. On weekends, you’ll often find us escaping to rural Catalonia, visiting friends and family and doing activities in nature, such as hiking, climbing or skiing.

Although this is our first time traveling with Workaway, we’re no strangers to cultural exchange. We’ve traveled extensively, first with our families and then on our own. Lidia even did a cultural exchange with AFS interculture in Denmark at age 15, living with a Danish family and attending school there—an experience that connected her with friends from around the world.
Furthermore, we have have witnessed Workaway from a host's perspective, as Lidia’s parents are hosting travelers since 2016.
We’re excited to meet wonderful people, lend a hand wherever we can, and make memorable experiences along the way. Looking forward to meeting you soon!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Laura is a mathematician, informatic engineer, and data scientist with a deep passion for teaching. She finds joy in sharing knowledge and inspiring others, always bringing patience and creating an encouraging learning environment where her students feel supported and confident. A true data lover, Laura is also passionate about artificial intelligence. If you need help doing magic with data, she’s the one to turn to, combining expertise and creativity to solve problems and uncover insights.
Beyond her professional passions, Laura has always had a deep connection with animals. She has lived with dogs and cats all her life, cherishes taking care of them, and enjoys going on walks with her furry friends, finding comfort and joy in their companionship.

Lidia is a physiotherapist passionate about giving massages, as well as teaching exercises that help her clients develop postural awareness and work on core stability. She is specialized in treating pelvic floor dysfunctions, including incontinence, pelvic pain, and issues related to pregnancy and postpartum. Lidia also enjoys offering advice on health and postural education, empowering her clients with the knowledge to improve their daily habits and overall quality of life.

Both Laura and Lidia share a love for gardening, caring for animals, and tackling outdoor projects like cutting wood, painting walls, or collecting materials. We’re full of energy and enjoy staying active, always ready to take on new challenges. We also have experience and enjoy taking care of children and older people. Cooking, cleaning, and organizing are activities we both find satisfying and fun.
In addition, we can teach Spanish and Catalan, happily sharing our language skills with others. We also have experience in waitering and customer service, where we’ve honed our ability to interact warmly and professionally with people.
