I am from Manchester, England and looking for new experiences and challenges for some time in New Zealand. Its a place I always wanted to visit, and now the time seems to be upon me. Ive had a lot of life changes recently, and find myself at a point where I have an opportunity to be abroad and make a change to my environment for while.

I love spending time with new people, learning from one another and sharing life experiences. I want to give more time to help others and I want to gain new skills within the world of horticulture. There is lots that I am willing to do and learn even if it's new territory. I'm motivated, free spirited and looking for people who can teach me new things and connect with.

I am a horticulturalist and have experience doing gardening, and would love a chance to do more hand on. I mostly would love to learn about a self sufficient life, so working on a homestead where you grow your own food, cook fresh food from scratch and live independently would be ideal. Id love to try some DIY projects and learn about basic woodworking. Working with my hands and being creative is a real love of mine. I also have experience working with kids of different ages, support work and help with school work, I taught English for a short time in Colombia.

I am family orientated, and have community values, definitely up for new things and new perspectives to give me a new lease of life!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

People skills - I am great with all different people, young to old and always look to build new relationships and networks. I am particularly interested in working with children, they are always fun to work with and I connect with them in a special way.
Educator - I have worked in informal education for a few years with youth, dealing with leadership and group dynamics. I am creative when it comes making sessions and ideas.
Basic farming skills - I spent time on a farm in Italy a while ago, I worked on a small village farm in Israel and also 3 months volunteering in Ghana on a farm in the town I lived in. I have the basic skills but would love to learn more about farming.
Motivated and logical - Once I have my mind set on a task or a project, I will do everything to make it the best it can be. I think things through carefully to have the best outcome.
Team player - I love working in a group of people as everyone always has something to give. I can take charge if needed but I will also know when to step back and be a team player.
I also have good horticultural knowledge and plant knowledge too. I studied in the UK and now learning about social and therapeutic horticulture too! This is about using nature and plants to help people with their health and wellbeing.
