Description
Hello! I am Leonardo, 30 years old, from Florence, Italy. I recently graduated from the University of Siena with a degree in Linguistics and Cognitive Studies, which was held completely in English. After that, I completed a one-year programming course and then started working for an NGO and a high school. Currently, I am teaching Italian to foreigners in a high school near Florence.
I like to discuss ideas and help others master a language.
Next year, I hope to start teaching literature, but in the meantime, I would like to travel. Last year I have been to Nepal, where I also volunteered in a school with children for a while— it was a wonderful experience.
Visiting Japan would be a dream come true for me. My English is quite good since I completed my Master’s degree in the language and have travelled extensively, building long-lasting relationships with English speakers. The opportunity to immerse myself in another culture while assisting with teaching is very appealing to me. In the past, I have participated in volunteering projects focused on inclusion, working with children and people from various countries. These were unforgettable experiences that profoundly changed my perspective on life. I am eager to start a new journey: I am here to learn, to help, and to experience a wonderful place, its people, and its culture.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
My most recent job was teaching Italian to foreigners, both online and in the classroom. From this role, I learned to organize activities and to set and achieve goals while working as a team. Communication and empathy are key to progressing together along a shared path.
I have also worked as an animator with children, a waiter, a bartender, and a delivery person. I have engaged in various jobs that typically involve interaction with others. I am quite handy and, although I may not have specific professional expertise in manual labor, I am a fast learner and can handle physical work well.
I enjoy writing and playing the guitar; in general, expressing myself and finding time and space to share our inner selves is fundamental to my view of life. I have studied extensively in philosophy and language, and I am passionate about understanding different cultures and ways of living.
