Hi there!

My name is Leo , enchanté! I hope this message finds you well.

I am going to be travelling across France this Summer and am looking for some work opportunities and experiences. I am hoping to learn the French language as it has always been a life goal of mine, plus excited to be introduced to new people, cultures and cuisines!

I have recently started a new job that allows me to take a Summer holiday. After a couple of difficult years helping with family illness, I am philosophical and grateful that this opportunity has found its way to me.

My intention is to stay at some campsites, some aires, see some friends, but also to partake in a few workaway schemes. I’m looking to base my route around what work opportunities there are, and also follow on from local recommendations and alongside new friends I make along the journey :)

For work, I have been working in hospitality management for over 10 years (I am now 35)... I am relatively handy and can use a range of tools (mainly woodworking), and am fairly strong. Definitely hardworking! I have an allotment in Bristol so am a keen gardener, I adore nature, exercise, music and cooking. I am a mature, respectful and caring person, but also enjoy not taking life too seriously.

I am looking for a workway of anything between a few days to 2.5 weeks depending on the location and work required! I’m hoping my journey will be a healthy mix of work, travel, socialising and inspiration.

I am bringing my dog, who is called Twiglet. She is 3.5 years old, and has lots of personality :) She really enjoys the company of people, and is very affectionate - you will love her! She is friendly with some dogs after a gradual introduction - she usually likes males, and she is spayed - but isn’t a fan of females and can be reactive to them.

During work she can either wander the grounds with me, or be left in a room to sleep… I’d take her for a nice long walk in the morning and then crack on working for the day! Don’t worry, having a dog will not stop my work effort.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

- Problem Solving -
My main work experience for over a decade is pub and restaurant management, so I am naturally very good at problem solving, and also at working alongside people from all backgrounds and ages

- Maintenance -
I am capable in basic maintenance - using power tools such as drills and saws, working with wood

- Gardening -
In Bristol I have had an allotment for 5 years, so have good experience in cultivating land, planting, weeding, crop management

- Cooking -
I am a decent cook and love sharing food with people! I would say I am a 7 out of 10 in terms of quality and flavour :D

I also very much enjoy music - listening to and playing. I play guitar to a basic level, and am hoping to re-kindle my love for it on my travels.
I enjoy playing cards and board games, anything really that encourages spending quality time together!
