Hi I’m Lena! I’m taking a gap year after finishing grammar school and I'm excited to learn about new cultures, languages and overall gaining new experiences. I’m a calm yet adventure-seeking, easygoing and very hardworking person with a sense of humor (if I do say so myself) and I enjoy helping people out. I can’t wait to get started!
What’s more to know about me?
I’m from the Netherlands and live in a village close to Rotterdam. I have grown up in a multicultural and green environment while living near the big city and being both Dutch and German as well as having some Indonesian roots. I am passionate about (ballet)dancing, as I've been practicing dance for 7 years now. Additionally, I love being in nature and all activities involving it. I can’t wait to explore the world, make new friendships and gain new skills and experiences, whilst helping others achieve their goals and discovering their way of life.

I’m very interested in learning any new languages! This was my main motivation for choosing grammar school; My favorite subjects have always been the languages. I speak Dutch (native), German (native & Goethe B1) and English (Cambridge C2) and I would love to teach others more about them.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have some experience in teaching having provided tutoring before and doing some farm work on my grandfather's farm, mainly helping in the garden, on the fields and with his horses. I am also familiar with hard work, since I’ve survived the unforgiving and merciless grammar school system in NL.
