Hi my name is Lena, I am 18 years old and I graduated from high school in Germany this year 2024. Ever since I was little, I've known that I didn't want to start an apprenticeship or study straight away, but wanted to see as much of the world as possible. Learn new languages, meet new people and also discover new cultures and places. I have already been to many countries and therefore know that this is exactly my thing. But I also really enjoy new activities and working in a team. That’s why my friends and family are very important to me. I love spending time with them and in general with people, but working with animals is my absolute favorite activity. I own many different animals myself. Quails, cats, rabbits and also a horse. I also used to have a dog and insects. That's why I hope to find exactly that on Workaway and to be able to do a great job, preferably with animals.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

As already mentioned, my greatest strengths lie in working with animals, and I have a great deal of experience in this area. I am familiar with the species-appropriate care of a wide variety of animals and I enjoy learning new things very quickly. Above all, I have years of experience in working with horses and riding. But I also get on very well with people. I have been working as a part-time cab driver instructor, I don’t know if that’s the right word for it haha, for almost a year now and can therefore work very independently and in a structured manner and, above all, communicate with customers. Before that, I worked for a hairdresser for a few months, where my communication skills were also required. I also get on well with children, as I was the eldest in the family and always had to look after the little cousins and my sister. I am therefore familiar with babysitting children of all ages. I have also tutored children in English at school. As I am generally a very open-minded person, I find it easy to adapt to new environments and people.
