Hi, we’re Paul and Leon, both 20 years old. We graduated last year with the German Abitur (equivalent to the Australian Year 12 Certificate) and decided to travel and gain real-life experience before jumping straight into the next chapter.

We arrived in Sydney at the end of August and have been working since then to support our travels. So far we’ve done commercial relocation labour, hotel housekeeping, and farm work through Workaway, which gave us a good mix of hands-on and practical experience.

Right now we’ve started our East Coast trip (currently around the Gold Coast) and we’re looking for places where we can stay longer, help out, and get to know the area properly instead of just passing through. We’re easygoing and very flexible with timing and length of stay, only fixed plan is that we’ll fly to Thailand in early March.

We’re both very sporty and active and like to keep busy. We enjoy working with our hands, being outdoors, exploring new places, or simply making the most of good weather. Through our jobs in Australia and Germany (logistics and farm work), we’re used to physical work, long days, and getting stuck in. We like learning new skills, meeting new people, and contributing wherever help is needed.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

In Germany, we worked for an event and logistics company, handling setup and dismantling, equipment transport, and general site work — often during long shifts and physical tasks.

In Australia, we’ve been working as commercial relocation laborers, doing office and warehouse moves, packing, furniture assembly, and manual handling.

We’re used to hard physical work, team environments, and getting the job done efficiently.
We also have experience with animals such as dogs, cats, and chickens.
