Hi there my name is Erik (34) and I am from Germany. I'm born and raised in Berlin - in my opinion on of the best cities in the world. I'm used to work in the realm of political education, democratization and public relations. I loved my jobs but sometimes it is worth to take a break from everyday life. So I left home and am traveling since 1.5 years now. Most of the time I was traveling together with my girlfriend who has now decided to go home while I want to spent some more months in Central and South America. Before that we were hitchhiking together through Europe, were working on a cottage in the Austrian Alps, were olive picking in Turkey, assisted in a schoolproject in Uganda, were traveling through Eastafrica, learned to scuba dive on Zanzibar and went over to Canada. There we spent 8 months working as cleaners for rental appartments, worked on a construction team for a Yoga and Rafting Resort, started to learn surfing, sitted a home with cats and chicken and helped out during the weed harvest season.
Now I try to learn some Spanish (but I am an absolute beginner at the moment!) and would like to dive in latin american culture and society. I prefer to get in touch with locals as their stories last way longer in my heart than a random picture in front of any famous sightseeing. I love to become part of an everyday life and thus learn about the societies I'm travelling through in an authentic way.
On my days off I like to discover my environment by feet no matter if it is a crowded city, a rural area or abandoned nature. I like to take some time for myself to reflect all my impressions but I also love to go on adventures with other people that I like.
In general I'm a spontaneous person and open to do almost every kind of work: I can clean, cook, feed, care, dig, repair, water, teach, write, entertain, activate, support, and whatever else you want me to do. At least I can give it a try ;)
An important working principle for me: No matter how hard the work is that you're doing, there is always a reason to laugh!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I studied political science and worked the last years for political organizations as a manager for public relations and social media. So I can be very helpful for boosting your social-media-performance and make you more visible.
Before that I spend some years teaching young adults about democratic principles, human rights and climate change. So I love to discuss and elaborate problems of our society from different angles. Once I was in Ethiopia for two months I was used to teach young children in elementary school, like Englisch and German language or mathematic, biological or geographic basics. I was also used to be a passioned soccer-coach for young children for a few years. So I really like to lead and interact with youth-groups.
But I also did a lot of different other jobs: waitress, barkeeper, cleaner, driver, harvester, beekeeper, chef-assistant and many more.
I likes to work well structured and am very ambitioned while working. I also like physical tasks and have good condition for hard work.
