Hi there! I'm very new here on Workaway. My name is Lara, and I’m currently embarking on a backpacking journey of self-discovery, embracing the unknown with an open heart and mind. I love connecting with people, sharing authentic experiences, and having deep conversations that spark new insights and bonds, but I also like to take moments for myself. The quiet moments I spend reading, meditating, and being surrounded by nature help me find my center, bringing me a sense of inner peace and serenity. Nature’s beauty is my refuge, and it allows me to reset, recharge, and stay balanced. I am also deeply in love with skiing and dancing, especially reggaeton, and I enjoy participating in social events and outdoor activities.

I’m looking for to explore new cultures, contribute to the communities I visit, and grow through the incredible experiences this journey will bring. Looking forward to meeting you along the way! :)

I would like to improve my Spanish, although I have the basics and am able to read books and watch series in Spanish, I feel that I struggle to fully retain it because I lack conversational practice and I have no one to speak it with now. However, I am always open to learn other languages as well. Additionally, I could teach the languages I already speak, such as Italian, Slovenian and English :)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I graduated in marketing and during my studies I had the opportunity to live in Slovenia, Spain and France, which sparked my enthusiasm for cultural exchanges. Along with improving my language skills, I gained valuable experience working in multicultural teams, collaborating with people from diverse backgrounds to achieve a common goal. These experiences have been invaluable in shaping my adaptability and interpersonal skills.

Professionally, I specialize in managing data-driven marketing campaigns across platforms such as Google Ads, Meta Ads, and Bing Ads. I’ve worked with international clients, helping them increase their online visibility and increase sales. I am also capable of creating quality content for social media with just my phone ;)

I’m a fast learner and a hard-working person with a strong sense of responsibility. During the summer holidays, I worked as a waitress, which helped me develop good customer and service skills, but I am also possessing some hands-on experience in gardening and cooking. I’m always down for some DIY tasks around the house and many people have told me that I have a natural affinity for working with the elderly, thanks to my patience and empathy. However, I am always open to learn new skills and accept feedbacks!

I’m happy to offer my help and actively engage in other people’s projects, learning from their experiences while getting to know new ways of living. I see this as a more thoughtful form of travel, one that is slower and deeper, allowing me to truly connect with different cultures and communities on a meaningful level. My hope is that through this exchange, we both walk away with something valuable, fostering a shared sense of growth, learning, and connection :)
