Hi! we are Lan and Kit and we live in Berlin. We are both native english speakers with some german too. Lan speaks French.
Lan: I'm originally from London but moved to Berlin in 2013. I quit my office job a couple of years ago and am now enjoying life as an artist, painting most days and getting involved in fun creative projects.
I love being out in nature, wild swimming, hiking and skiing. I would say I'm an outgoing person but also really need my quiet time, to read and day dream about future art projects. I love living in Berlin, but really crave wilderness and a slower pace of life. I enjoy a range of things; cooking, baking, painting, ceramics, gardening. I have less experience with renovating and building, but it's an area I would like to learn more about.
Kit: I'm from Vermont and I miss the mountains! I'm currently studying film making and hoping I can combine this with my love of backcountry skiing in the future. I'm looking to spend more time in the mountains in general, and specifically want to train as a mountain guide. I have experience with renovation and general handiwork, and I restore / build bikes for fun.
Other things I'm good at which might be relevant for workaway: I've worked as a chef, I love animals and I'm tidy and like organising things.

I can speak some German but would love to get to a conversational level. I grew up in the UK so English is my main language, but my mother is French so I am also able to converse in French

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
I know a bit about growing veg and gardening, but want to learn more.
I like cooking, and am especially good with vegetarian dishes. I also love baking (cakes as opposed to bread)
I'm sporty so would happily share my running knowledge or I can bring an extra pair of boxing gloves and give you a few lessons : )
I don't have much experience with renovating homes beyond painting and sanding but I'm a fast learner and hard working and want to learn more.
